So, last I heard is that Renegades was suppose to pick up where Retaliation was suppose leave off and the cartoon was to continue on. So what do you think the story is now? Will Renegades be held back and not continue until the movie finishes? Or do you think we'll see a second season of Renegades before the movie?

I don't think we'll see a second season of Renegades but it would be great IMO if we did.
I heard Renegades was put on hiatus because of the movie. I don't think it will continue at all, and if we see another Joe toon in the near future, I think it will be an amalgam of Renegades and Retaliation, and it will come out after the movie. Those are my thoughts, lol.

We will see Resolute come back before Renegades does...it deserves a full season first! AMIRITE! lol
And no cartoon will return until they can figure out the live action movie issues. Especially if it fails to sell the toys next year like ROC did,...well end up with another new cartoon most likley anyway...bet this time they go TF Prime cheap CGI route with thos ewieird glowing eyes they have...

IMO
I think we got Renagades because at one point we weren't getting Joe 2. That of couse changed & renagades season 2 was put on hold,
I'd like to see a continuation of the story in cartoon form, (IT could happen) If they revisit a regular Joe cartoon then having it premere shortly after Retaliation would be an awesome way to launch it.

I hope so because Renegades is better than anything we are likely to see in the movie...

Not getting my hopes up.
As much I want it to happen ... it more likely won't.

I did say "likely", not "I know for a fact", and my opinion is based upon all the leaked reports of the movie being terrible or even incoherent by people who have seen it (hence the delay).

Resolute couldn't even maintain it's momentum through the 30 minutes or so that were made without unraveling. I doubt it could hold up for an entire season.

Renegades as the story was won't return. It's done.
Any new cartoon will either follow the movie fairly close or be something new.

Resolute's story wasn't that great. But alot of that can be attributed to the format. It's hard to tell a great story in 10 minute chunks.
And of course Resolute could hold up for an entire season. We're talking 12-22 (or whatever) 30 min episodes with maybe a season long arc.
Have to look at the Resolute universe/mythos in order to see if it would make a good regular cartoon, and chances are that that mythos would.
The world of Resolute is basically a mature Sunbow.

Actually, it was the 10-12 minute episode format that saved Resolute from complete collapse. You don't have to put a lot of though or detail into a 10 minute action sequence. It was only as the show wound down that it began to unravel. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it for what it was, but there was a lot going wrong. I could over look the character assassinations and plot holes if only the final episode had been as epic as the build up implied.
But it wasn't.
