For the past two years we have produced a somewhat popular comedy web series on Youtube called Action Figure Therapy. The series features vintage 80s Joes talking, complaining and swearing a bunch in a therapist's office.
Over the past twelve months we've had two different companies work on creating original custom AFT action figures based on mockup drawings we provided. Both came back to us with figures that were less satisfactory.
We are looking to find a person or company that can make us some original custom articulated 3 3/4" AFT figures that actually look cool and live up to the series.
We're thinking about doing a contest for action figure sculptors/creators and have them sculpt and paint a figure of one of our characters and submit photos. We'd choose a winner and they'd receive a cash prize plus the option to possibly make the rest of our action figure line for us.
Or, just having talented people contact us via email and send us their portfolio, resume, etc.
What do you folks here on the HISSTank forum think would work best?
