I'm looking for any kind of medeval knight-type sword that would fit with Joes/Marvel Universe figures. The world is full of ninja swords but I haven't really come across any straight swords. Any ideas where I could pilfer some?

I'm not positive but I think the Pirates of the Caribbean figures came with some straight swords.

Get the little cocktail swords that you put in drinks . I used those all the time as a kid . They are usually brightly colored , but a little paint goes a long way. You could also use the weapons from the Chronicles of Narnia figures that were released a few years ago, some of which can still be found at 5below stores.

As mentioned above, you could find some on the Pirates of Caribbean figures.
Serpentor has a kind of Knight sword.
The Montezuma Skeleton has a straight sword too.
There are others Joe figs that might have the same scale, but are older (Hannibal and Tiger Claw come to mind)
Indiana Jones figs have several types of swords, including knight sword (the Templar from the Last Crusade), at least two different scimitars (Marion and the desert thugs), rapiers (Mutt and the russian chick) and knives of several types.

Indiana Jones Grail Knight. DTC Hannibal Reborn. Ages of Action Knight Templar, Norman Knight, and Roman Legionnaire. I know there's a lot more from other lines but those ones are just off the top of my head...

Underworld Viktor came with a very cool sword sculpt, the one Selene uses to chop his head off...

You can also check some of the custom casting sites. I know hunterartworks had a couple of medieval type sculpt at one point and I think starwarsgeek's store might as well. Army of Darkness figures come with some great sword sculpts but can be a bit pricey. Some of the Chap Mei stuff isn't too bad either.
Also check some of the Schleich and Papo figurines. The figures themselvwes are static but you can remove the weapons on most of them.
Send me a pm with a list of what you want.

Here's a few I have:
SDS Conan & Conan's Father's Swords, Cobra Commander's sword, chap mei Medieval sword, a MU Blade sword I trimmed the blade down, last 2 are those cocktail swords I trimmed the blades on and painted one up.
Prince of Persia fig's have swords too(forgot to take a pic of the one I have).

All I've made on shapeways is a gladius. Maybe some of those knight figurines that places like TRU of Target carries has something usable.

This is some great advice as far as the cocktail swords, but some are a little large for ARAH figures so be careful or you might lose a thumb! They work great for ME figures though.

Pretty sure number 4 is actually a Palisades Army of Darkness sword. At least that's where mine came from.
Plenty of European swords in that line. The swords that came with the gal in the Van Helsing line will work for Joes, too.
I wait for the day someone does the zweihänder and katzbalger in 1:18.

Narnia-Prince Caspian figures would have several to choose from.

Micheals carries a line of toys that are fantasy based animal warriors. They all have barbarian or knights style swords. they are great for Joe sized toys.
Just google Papo toys, that's the brand.

My Storm Shadow uses this Excalibur. It was never returned to the Lady of the Lake. Instead SS found the Lady of the Lake, which turned out to be a demon. He killed her and saved the British Isles.
