Why do people even bother asking these things when it is pretty much guaranteed they aren't going to say anything?

They are probably just in the rewriting process at the moment. The studios dont spend more money than they need to so they are obviously not going to lock him down indefinitely giving him money for doing nothing. They have to set down how much the dude will be there, specially since this thing is now going over budget.

But if Duke is really,really dead..... i dont care.

yea sounds like it was just a breif gig for him. Shame, say what you want about him, but the idea of getting rid of Duke as team leader and killing off a main character like that is just a real shitty thing to do. Its bad enough they got rid of Hawk.


Hopefully the movie will be remade and be half decent.

Not like they cant reboot it and bring him back in a different verse, its friggen hollywood. Once they get this film done with it wont matter. If it bombs it bombs and that will kill the third installement if this delay hasnt already given then cold feet to try 3 times. So his run as Duke was limited anyway. Why they need to leave GI JOE an action cartoon and not a live action film...they just cant get it together...Chu almost did it...just Paramount wont let it be...and ran with their tails tucked between their legs..

I don't want this movie to fail for fear that Hollywood gives up on future G.I.Joe movies but I hope this one bombs big time just to teach Paramount a lesson.
