my toys call me 'sir'. i tell em all the time there's no need to be so formal, we're all friends, but they insist. military, ya know, hard to break the habit.

All of my toys are transvestites.

I like it when collectors use gender specific pronouns to describe their toys as well. It is totally awesome.

I use the gender neutral pronoun "shim" to avoid hurting any of my figure's feelings.

Oooooh, I'm guilty of this.

I was talking about the Joe Trooper yesterday and used "him" multiple times.

Fuck it, though. I buy $100s of dollars in toys, pose them, display them on shelves, and hang out on a website for hours talking about it.

Calling one of the figures "him" is the least of my strange behavior.

I call all my toys "baby".

While I'm posing them, "You know you like it baby."

When they fall off the shelf, "Damnit baby, why do you have to treat me this way?"

When I find them at the store, "Oh there you are baby."

No one seems to mind.

It's weirder to refer to cars as having a gender. They are not shaped like any gender, and don't perform any biological function specific to any gender.

I always refer to toys as "it" or a thing. I never use gender specific language, even when the toy/figure itself may depict a man or woman.

Why? I can't identify which part of that is strange.

You know what I find strange to the point of being annoying? When people refer to all cats as female, and all dogs as male. Wtf is up with that?
