Cobra J-10 Dragon

This is a PTE J-10 repainted with the vintage Cobra Viper Glider camo and color scheme. Another customiser, either Autobot C5 or Sidewinder, did a beautiful Skystriker in this camo/color scheme and I have been wanting to replicate it on something for a long time. I tried to go somewhat minimalist with the decals, because I didn't want to take away from the camo. Originally, i wanted to have big honking cobras on each wing.

Krylon Fusion satin black, Krylon satin oxford blue, Krylon Matte. I pushed this one through quickly because it was easier and because I didn't want to have another PTE plane lying around waiting for paint, I have several stacked up already.

Totally dig it.....sans the color scheme, reminds me of the early Cobra fighters that were gray/silver back either in the Marvel comics or maybe the early 80s toons....

Quick question, though, where did you get those decals (the Cobra with flaring wings) for the nose art? I've seen cobrastickers version with the bat-like wings attached to the Cobra, but I had not seen that style before.

It is an old black ping pong table that I turned into a cobra airfield dio of sorts. There are spots to park planes, a helipad, a terror drome on one end, and a long runway. I ditched the underside and built some shelves to sit it on.

The image came from joecustoms file repository, and several years ago I had some deals with a decal guy that made me several pages of assorted cobra symbols, that was one I had him do. I think it is meant to be cobra airborne paratroopers, but it looks great on aircraft.

With its normal paint-scheme, I didn't care much for this jet. With the Cobra deco, it looks incredible. It's reminding me of a Cobra jet from very old comics or the first cartoon mini-series, before the Rattler came out. Anyway, great work; I love it!

Awesome. Just need some satin black trim on the canopy to finish it off. You would be surprised what a difference a little paint on that clear glass canopy can make.

Thanks! The only bad part of that would be it cost about $75 to make it, the ship by itself is $45 plus shipping from Bigbadtoystore, unless it shows up somewhere this season. 3-4 cans of paint, the decal sheets from various sources, it wasn't a cheap piece to make.
