To be honest I think green shirts and steel brigade is more then enough no name troops for a small elite fighting team. On that note I only bought one to use as a regular Joe and will come up with a name for him.

I use my green shirts to guard the Joe base and the steel brigades as Joe's in training. So when you are picked to join the Joe team you must be a steel brigade for 6 months before you get your own code name and become a unique individual Joe.

I'm building a squad of at least six of them, and I was thinking about adding details to the uniforms and possibly different heads to differentiate them.

Regarding naming them, the thought had crossed my mind to make their actual names that of my friends, and maybe even make filecards for them. Codenames??? I have no idea yet. I might not even give them one.

They're greenshirts that have passed all the qualifications and training to become a Joe, but haven't been granted a codename and upgraded to "Primary" (Named Joe) status yet (In my Joe-verse, G.I. Joe, like most military units, has a limit to how many personnel it can have in any given position, so there's a waiting list to become a "Full Joe."

They perform long-range, long-term surveillance missions (often under the command of a "named" Joe like Beachhead, Recoil, Recondo, Stalker, or Pathfinder), perform "seek and destroy" missions on smaller Cobra outposts and elements, and support the "full" Joes on fire missions if extra bullet-slingers are needed (especially when the missions are against targets they've been gathering intel on).

The blue scarf around the neck is molded onto/around the neck. As far as I can see you can't take it off with out cutting/modding it.

Steel Brigade make a far better trooper than this ugly bugger. I got one as I thought he'd make a good a good Ghost Hawk pilot, but now I have him he's not too impressive and doesn't seem to fit in with Joe or Cobra.

Think I'll use my one single Ret trooper as a third-party merc... an ex-Blackwater soldier who's a thorn in the side of Joe & Cobra. Scimitar seems a cool name.
