...that we are not getting any Joes between Retaliation Wave 1 and March 2013? I've seen that the 2nd and 3rd waves for Retaliation has been cancelled and held till the movie in March. But where does it say that it stops at Retaliation wave 1? Why can't Hasbro just release what they had planned for Spring 2013 and release them this Summer, Fall, and Winter?

During Joecon do you think Hasbro will offer up the 2013 figures instead? Or do you think Hasbro will offer a boot up our asses and put us Joe Collectors in a Joe drought for the rest of 2012?

Well I think we will get something but it wont be a new line. I am pretty sure. I am curious about the Walmart exclusive figures and the fate of that rumor.

The toys for spring 2013 won't be ready. They might be able to fast-track them a little bit, but I doubt it's worth the investment. There's no point in making a push to develop them faster, just to have them come out a few months before the Retaliation toys are due back out.

Right now, IF we get additional product, it will NOT be what we were supposed to get.

They officially "delayed" waves 2 AND 3 until next Spring (I still think stuff will be on market by Christmas, but that's me)

As others said, unless spring 2013's stuff was simple repaints (unlikely, the original plan for next spring was continued support of Retaliation even if it is just sell through of existing inventory), Hasbro really doesn't have the means to "bump up" anything.

I'm increasingly thinking Hasbro might let retail piddle on the stocks of wave 1 they got and move to other lines until the movie line re-drops. I view it as bad for the line to go a long period without retail support (again, retail isn't exactly supporting the movie BEFORE the delay), but that might end up what Hasbro is doing.

I'm hoping it's similar to the wave 5 and 6 PoC figures. They were basically a thrown together wave of repaints yet it turned out pretty nice. Maybe they could slip something like that in.

I'm sure they have enough support for Spidey and Avengers to not worry too much about the lack of Joes.

My TRUs have a MASSIVE Spidey set up at the front of their store, at one the opposite side is split between Avengers and TDKR, and Joe is just on an endcap in the action figures section.

At the other, the opposite side is split between Joe, TDKR, and a bit of Avengers.

Even if the Joe stuff disappeared tomorrow, they could easily fill it in with Avengers or Batman stuff.

And I'm sure Wal-Mart doesn't give a crap at all. They barely have anything anyway.

SDCC or Joecon golden ticket exclsuives next year...Kwinn will most likley be absorbed as Muldune in the canclled JP figure line at best and held until somone releases a new JP movie...in 3D! around 2025....

Not to be pessimistic, but I've learned that you aim low with Hasbro and you get disappointed less. Kinda like dealing with in-laws.

I'd take that too. But it wouldn't make me as happy.

To be honest, Flint is one of the few characters whose design I feel they nailed back in ARAH (Firefly being another) and so, I would REALLY like to see that Flint (toy or toon version) get the 30th treatment.

I just don't think any of the ME versions so far quite do Flint justice, especially his '85 design. I have yet to acquire ANY ME Flint.

And I wouldn't mind seeing the Alley Viper(orange and blue camo), Range Vipers, and Night Creepers we got in the DOCI set but single carded. Along with some single carded Televipers.

Isn't there usually a year lead time into a new line? So theoretically they may have just started planning next year's assortments before the movie delay changed plans. If anything, there may have been transition waves planned similar to ROC/POC with the movie likenesses.

I really don't think we are going to get anything new the rest of the year. If anything, the relaunch of the Retaliation line may be released for the holidays to get something out there. As mentioned earlier, Hasbro is enjoying the success of the Avengers line and the anticipated success of the Spider-Man line (even if they both suck). SW is always a good seller so I don't think GI Joe is even a priority now with the movie delay. While a wave with Kwinn, Data Viper and rereleases like Alpine would be great for us fans, I don't think it will happen.

it is kind of implied to be honest. No company is going to say "we won't have any products out until such a time" because that's bad business. Also, Hasbro is not going to invest any money or time into rushing out filler items between now and March. That also would be bad business.

The only hope for any joe items for the next 9 months is that retailers do not send any items back and they can keep stocking what they initially ordered for the movie.

The reason people are saying that there will be no new stuff is because that's is Hasbro's track record. They stopped the 25th line for ROC. They stopped the 30th line for Retaliation, see where this is going?
