I was looking forward to seeing him vs "Canelo" Alvarez this September. Makes me face how lucky those of us are with our mobility.

My brother just wrecked his bike in japan and shattered a few bones. This makes me realize how lucky he was.

Its a shame man. Diego Corales got into a motorcycle accident a few years back that ended his life, and that was a damn shame too. People have to be more careful.

Yeah man, I remember Corrales he was in some very entertaining fights. I was shocked when I heard about Williams and his injury. I heard about his next scheduled fight last week, and then this morning I hear that he's paralyzed from the waist down. I liked Williams as a fighter, and I was looking forward to seeing him fight again. I am sorry to hear about this. It's so true that life can change drastically in an instant.

prayers going out for him and his family.
atlanta is a dangerous place to drive, much less ride. the linked article says he swerved to avoid a vehicle but locally they say he was going to fast to negotiate a curve. not that it makes a difference in the way i feel for him, hope he makes it one way or another. something like 75% of bike accidents are caused by other drivers entering bikes right of way and if some jackoff pulls in front of you and you have to lay it down you'll be lucky if they even notice much less stop.

Makes a huge difference to me. One is a tragic accident and the other is an avoidable mind fart. Make a bad decision and there are irreversible, life altering (or ending) repercussions. I dont feel bad for people who bring it upon themselves due to poor decision making.
Just like when Corrales killed himself: Idiotic, loss of mind function for a split second can and will end your life. Corrales killed himself and nobody else, which I am thankful for. He was driving too fast, clipped a car acting like he was in a Moto GP game and that ended it for him. As long as people continue to drive like complete morons thinking "it wont happen to me" there will be accidents like these that can be avoided. Im always thankful when they only take themselves out and not other innocent people.
