My Walmart, which hasn't had any gijoe since roc, put up pegs about three months ago that have been empty the whole time.
On Thursday, those pegs were changed to clearance @ $5.00 also. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I use to work at Walmart and I can tell you it is very possible to get labels that say that. If you have ever seen those computer guns that the workers use to check the price of something, this is were you can find the upc for any figure. Say they scan the joe pegs then what pops up is the price, whats coming, and what they already have. There is another button they can press while on the same screen. The screen will now have a list of shortened names that are somewhat recognizable at times. Say its beachhead, the name could say that or bchedbscfigure. This list can also show all the possibilities of figures that were going to come out but didn't. It doesn't mean they will get the figure for the name on the list.

Now you can take the number that refers to Kwinn on the list and you have to retype the number after you exit out of the list. Once the number is in, you press enter and now you have kwinn and his name on the top with the same amounts below because the peg number and the list of numbers are one in the same( this is called an assortment). Though now you can use the portable printer to print off labels that say Kwinn.

Cool find! I didn't double check my price tags at WM. I was too excited finding the Retaliation wave 1 figures on the rack with the $5 price tag, that I was more focused on scooping them up right away and hitting the check out. I'll have to double check mines again.

Anyone working at Walmart can use their equipment print a tag or label to read whatever they choose.

Anyone shopping at Walmart can easily see that 'real' tags do not list individual characters names. The real tags list the product series name- GI Joe, WWE, Star Wars, Avengers, etc.

I only ask because they seem to re release repackaged Star Wars and Marvel characters every year. I wonder if Hasbro will fill the gap over the next 9 months with repacked 25th and repaints?

Once again, unless Hasbro already had it in the pipeline for manufacturing and shipping, we're not going to get any sort of "re-release" waves. Even those take 6 months to go from start to finish according to Hasbro, so by the time they got done it'd be too close to the Retaliation re-launch to release them.

I bet these were pre-loaded into the system at some point before the 30th line was cancelled and they got the night viper and crimsonguard moved back to the last wave of retaliation...
