Well I recently picked up a Capt America Strike-Fire Transport for $5.00 and now i'm wanting to paint it up. But im needing some advice for what type paint to use? I'm wanting create my own special type vehicle and this will be for my Joe army. I thought about making this a update version of either Persuader or Desert Fox 6x6 for my Joes. Again sorry to sound like at broken record but I'm not sure what type of paint to use? should it be Kylon or something from Hobby Lobby for painting models? Any help would be great, Thanks everyone.

Slay, Laser. WalMart sells a Krylon Fusion Camo paint. It has an ultra flat finish and comes in biege, OD, grass green, dk brown, and black. That's what I use.

i was going to ask about Liquitex from Michael's, but that stuff is very $$$$$.
so, i'll check out the Krylon at Walmart for my paint needs.
Just make sure it says "flat" or "matte" for the color otherwise you'll get semi gloss/gloss.
The stuff that Spectre mentioned is what top Transformers customizers swear by.
The biggest trick with spray painting is doing it safely in the right place at the right time as well as using proper spray techniques.
Take it slow, never cover everything all in 1 shot...

Liquitex doesn't seem like it would work very well for vehicles, it's kind of rubbery and shiny. Krylon fusion works really well on vehicle shells.

I take them apart first and wash them in warm dish saop with a new scouring sponge, then dry them with clean paper towels n let sit over night, "use a plastic primer" some of the new plastics are so smooth the paint can peel rite off, let primer dry for 3 days then paint, its a lot of work, but you get way better finishes if you take the steps and time..

Krylon Camo Fusion for the win. I use this on all Joe vehicle customs as well as 1/72 models.
It's ultra flat, so it works perfectly for mililtary vehicles. Also, unlike some spray paints, the spray rate out of the can is manageable and doesn't flood the toy with too much paint.
