Kinda funny that wav one will be swooped up whereas it would have just been the pegwarmer wave up here (had the movie actually released on time)

Was going to post this, but then I saw the press release :(

In Fredericton N.B. Only the small vehicles and dojo sets are on the shelf.

Wish these goofs around Portland OR. would break street date. With all that is going on with the movie they are sitting on their stock til Monday. Boo on Portland and I'm jealous that Canada is releasing before the USA.

Dual language cards or not? If yes, they'll somehow manage to be even uglier.

They are tri-lingual. For the Retalliation line, I don't really care for the boxes. They don't look any different though, other than the text being smaller.

Utterly bizarre pricing compared to US this time:
- 10% markup on the single figs ($9.99 USD).
- $10 markup on Dojo 3-packs ($19.99 USD).
- Jeep/Boat same as US price.
- Hiss/Ghosthawk close to US price. Did not find those in AZ last week.

I know. I really hate how expensive the 3 packs were, but I really wanted at least one set of them. I actually don't even care for the Storm Shadow from the set.

The three pack with Beachhead was very tempting.. Maybe even fix my Amazon Road Block with the other parts.

The crappy drivers have ruined the vehicles for me.

Any fellow Canucks know if they have hit Walmart shelves yet, gotta get me a Hiss tank to convert into a transforming Shockwave.

I can confirm them at TRU in Calgary Alberta. Bought a few. Generally disappointed. The Joe Trooper, Zartan and Red Ninja are nice. The rest aren't. Did buy cobra troopers for the chutes though. Ghost-Hawk is ok. 3-packs are by far the best of the bunch.

Just a minor correction to the front page, Awe Striker and Water Moc is actually 16.99 here, not 14.99. 14.99 is for the motorcycles.

Here in N.B. The boat and buggy are $14.99 at TRU, hope it does not change. For how bad the drivers are, cheaper makes more sense.

Damn, went back to TRU and they fixed the price on the vehicles.

I opened my Hiss Tank last night and here is my first quick thoughts on it. That thing is uber ugly.

As a stand alone toy sitting on the shelf it might look OK, but certainly not great. I'll try to look at the positive aspects of this thing first. The colours are nice and the new canopy design make a lot more sense then the V5 Hiss tank. It's a nice throw back to the original Hiss Tank in some ways like the small wheels under the non moving treads and a figure sits exposed in a large canon at the back. The canon has a launching missile, not sure if that's viewed as a good thing or not as an adult but my son will enjoy it.

Now the negative. I'm not sure that SDCC Hiss Tank is really going to be that cool. At least I now see why it has 2 figures compared to just one last year. It needs all the help it can get. Compared to last years Starscream, Shockwave probably won't be as cool. At least Shockwave will have new molding unlike Starscream last year but the base of the toy is boring.

The worst part it's a new mold, so you can use your old Hiss Tank treads on it or swap the canopy from the new one to your old Hiss Tank.

Like the figure, the thing is a statue. Tiny wheels on the bottom of the tread and very limited movement between the tread and the main body.

I suppose I'v become use to a higher standard from Hasbro. If this tank came out in 1985 I might have thought it was cool. Compared to the original Hiss Tank it has more play value, but compared to V5 with the moving treads and elevating action it's just dull.

If I was still chroming everything in sight then this body would perfect as there is a lot less moving parts. As it stands I'm done with chroming. I already did a V5 Hiss in chrome and I'm happy with that.

I give the Retaliation Hiss Tank a "C".

#3 packs have never been a deal here. They basically just charge you for each seprate figure.I don't think they get the point of it.

Went back to TRU, they fixed the prices on the two vehicles.

I noticed right away that the SDCC Shockwave tank is almost identical to this one.. that is a damn shame. Just the lack of rubber treads really kills this new HISS. At least the SDCC one will be worth it for the figures and extra goodies.

Chicago area TRU and Meijers put em on the shelf! Figs, 4 vehicles, 2 carded cycles, 2 ninja 3 packs, and 2 10 inch figs.

I was able to get everything except the GI Joe Trooper and Red Ninja... (The CC I got was the black version)

I found them at the TRU in the Markville Mall in Markham. They had them in a different section away from the main GI Joe section. I guess they did not want to reorganize the main section since these are all they are going to get for now.

They put these out at one of my walmart stores, and when I tried to buy them they told me that they couldn't sell them yet...jackoffs...they've been out of stock on GI Joes since last October, then they won't sell me what they have...jackoffs I say...

Managed to find a remnants in TRU by me. Target is holding to the street date, but I have managed to pick up the figures I want after explaining to the worker that the street date doesn't matter seeing as the movie was pushed back to march.

I just picked up a bunch of the toys. I wasn't aware that Cobra Commander was black; I thought he was supposed to be blue? I feel like I wasted money buying the Amazon exclusive in order to get the black CC when he just gets released on a card anyway.

It does not come off :(

Why the heck didn't they just include an extra hand? Zartan gets four heads (a very disappointing figure, too, btw), but Roadblock can't get one extra hand?

And all these figures with one knee joint, no ankle articulation, no stands...WTH, Hasbro?
