My wife was in Wal-Mart today to pick up a few prescriptions. She decided to check out the toys as she is a collector too. She found one case of Retaliation Joes on the pegs at the $6.97 tag. She gabbed me a Red Ninja and my son a Zartan. When she went up front to pay, they rang up at $8.97 and they said they couldn't sell them to her. They called up the toy dept manager who said the same thing. Then the Assistant manager came up. So she did what any beautiful woman would do: She smiled and batted her eyelashes! She told him she had a rough week and since the movie was getting pushed back, she at least wanted to buy a few figures to tide her over. So she walked out with them and at $6.76!!! God I love this woman!!!!!

No for real though, that's really cool. My wife pretty much despises my cobras and joes. She's never once told me that any of my customs are good. The only thing she does like is that I actually play with our kids, even when it's with the figures.

Nice. Gotta make a Wall Of Hero Wifes monument or something to all the brave wifes who go out of thier way to help fuel our collection/obsession. My wife hates the fact that I spend so much money and clutter up the house with my collection but then she turns around and buys me a Flagg so go figure!

A couple things caused them to decide not to sell them originally: first, they rang up as over $2 more than the peg price, and second, they were told to keep them in the back until the movie came out next March. The street date for the original toy release was Monday, the 28th, which I'm sure you already know. Some moron just put out a box of toys without knowing what they were doing. My wife just talked her way into getting them.
