I'm glad this is their strategy. There's nothing else they can do. Go all in, Hasbro! These must be unfamiliar waters, so I suggest you guys get inventive and try unorthodox, crazy stuff. Product is made -- nothing to lose! Who knows, maybe it'll work out.

Hell, my local Targets usually don't do the resets until Tuesday or Wednesday, street dates be damned (in the sense that they won't necessarily put stuff out on the street date).

Around here, the stores are sticking to the original plans they had. I think the issue is making room for the movie figures. TRU still has quite a few 30th figures (nothing of real note). WM has to find a spot. Target is clearancing out the remaining figures - finally hit 40% off today. I think they are all going to stick with Memorial Day.

The memo is legitimate. It's listed as a Break Street Date for Dark Knight Rises, Web of Spiderman and oh yeah... GI Joe Retaliation. I confirmed this at my local 'Rus, where the manager was very pleasant and was happy to go get a carton and let me open it up and go through it.

It helps if they actually have them in stock however.

Undeterred, I went to the local Target on Niagara falls BLVD, Amherst, Ny, and spoke with the manager of Toys ther. He said: I Don't know anything about a break street date order. We honor street dates. If we did know about the order we wouldn't bring a case out for you because these are classified as collectibles.

I sort of thought that meant I fit the target (sic) audience for them then....

I told him about the recent movie update and he walked with me to the electronics checkout and saw if they would ring up. They did so he let me dig thru the box and get everyone I wanted.

Found the single cards at TRU here. One peg, under the Renegades figure peg. No vehicles, no three packs, just the single cards and the big Snake Eyes and Roadblock figures.

The single card figures were remnants of a single case I think, and it was weird because there was still a red ninja and a cobra trooper left. Cobra Commander was blue. One Roadblock, two Snake Eyes, two Storm Shadows, one Zartan, one CC, one Red Ninja, one Cobra Trooper. No Joe Trooper, no Duke.

I bought Zartan, Red Ninja, and Cobra Trooper. Asked an employee if there were any more and he pretended to look in the back and said no.

damn quality control, i was at tru yesterday, the single cards were already swiped, leaving roadblock and storm shadow. so, i opted to go with the 3 packs. while looking over the dojo set, i noticed that kamakura had 2 right hands. so, i decided to grab the showdown set. i located an employee and asked if there were anymore of the dojo sets, and, bless her heart, she spent a half hour tracking down the case for me so that i could get a correct set. long story short, i get home, open up that showdown set only to discover that my red ninja had 2 left feet. fml

This past week Target has apparently gone all out to provide a finality to the reset by offering half off on everything Joe. This past Monday AM there were four SkyStrikers in one local Target that were discounted down to half off (they were 25% off the prior week). I bought one at the time, and went back Thursday the 24th and they were all gone....though I did finally nab a Renegades CC.

Walmart seems to operate a bit differently than Target in that some stores stopped restocking months before others. However, all three Walmarts I frequent have pegs out.

I would not be surprised if that by Memorial Day morning that all the pegs are full all over the place, and everyone resumes bitching about how much they don't like the figures they are now panicing about not finding at all.

Pretty much every store I have been to may or may not have pegs for joes and just do not get anything in. Toy aisles are so bleek. Watch everywhere will have put out only one case and will not reorder more based on the movie news. Discount stores all over will be flooded with the canceled product.

Today I called TRU and they said they put out some stuff. Though by the time I got there I could only guess that maybe one case of each piece of product was on the shelf. I did get 1 of each of the 3-packs, along with a Storm Shadow. The figures are pretty cool. They come with all kinds weapons for the figures. The zip line stuff is cool as well.

I went to 3 Targets, 1 Dillon's (Meijer's), and 2 Walmart and they all seemed to have the same answer. The stuff comes on May 28 or depending on when they get to putting the product out. One of my friends is going to help me out in getting at least one of each of the red ninja and joe trooper at one of these stores.
