Does this story revolve around Flint taking his webgear off and trying to sell himself as a "variant factory error"???

That art... so amazing! Fuso is a large part of why Cobra is my favorite monthly comic.

I'm pretty sure it a ripoff of Daniel Craig's James Bond.

Love the concept they claim to be using: a team made of Joes and former Cobras to take down Cobra. I would have preferred Chameleon, but it seems this team will get Ronin.
I am guessing at least:
Flint
Ronin
Bludd
with Tomax funding the team.
Add a couple more Joes, and it could be fun.

Costa is the best thing to happen to GI Joe in a long time imo

Ok, so we are guessing team members?
Flint
Sgt. Stalker
Bludd
Ronin
Chameleon
Mercer
Tomax
and i would add Low Light and Recoil as the "kill team" always on the sidelines cheking on them if they betray the team.

Fuso is not my favorite Joe artist at the moment, but this does appear to be pretty tight work. The story is interesting too.
I'm not familiar with Ronin but she has been emerging recently.
Bringing back Blacklight should be interesting.

Seems like IDW's G.I. Joe "enters a new era" every few months.

Idw's take on Gi Joe is the best yet! Really love what they are doing on snake eyes as well!!
It had a good start with Dixon on Gi Joe and origins was great too bring it on I say!

That's one thing I am dissatisfied with. Why can't there just be good stories, and a continuation with quality being the selling point?

I think there is. The "new era" is marketing. The writers and artist are just telling their story.

I'd say that they've done a great job of telling consistently good stories since they took over the license. They have set story arcs that function within the broader scope of each series, but I don't see that as a negative.
As a regular reader, it's pretty seamless. As a new reader, it makes for easy jumping on points.

Yes, it just looks silly from the outside for you to hear that the consistent, and well written comic you are reading is "headed for a new direction, and all new era!" so many times.

It has been, I've jumped in back at the end of Cobra Civil War. I much prefer Costa's work. It's magnificent how the characters are "rebooted" but still with much respect for them. Yes, some die, but many are written well. And that is all that can be asked. It's more respect for some of them that we haven't seen in ANY continuity. The art work is also spectacular in that the action and tense conversations make it feel like you are watching a thrilling movie unfold every month.
Dixon's, Im sorry to say doesn't capture me as much. And he did an outstanding job picking up the slack of the end of the GI Joe reloaded series, so much that his underwhelming, decompressed style in the new IDW doesn't suit me.

Also, some of the new characters, like Blacklight and Ronin feel like Blackout and Jinx, part deux - so much that I wonder what makes them so different and necessary to put in the comic over the originals that they seem to be grafted from. I know Jinx died, but having her spot filled in by a similar character is funny. But I missed out on some of the recent action with them, so I must look into it more before saying too much
