Alright so I'm making a custom CC. I spraypainted the hood with Enamel spraypaint on what I thought was mostly rubber/plastic. Well the Enamel spraypaint comes off at the touch which doesn't help. It's Testors Enamel. Is there a better spraypaint I should be using?

Enamel and soft plastics or rubber = never, ever cures.

I agree with stripping and using acrylics.

However, 2 other options:

1) If you must use enamel, start by using a vinyl dye as a base coat/primer. You can get this at autoparts store and once you spray it, the plastics won't get tacky and the paints will bound better. You can also just use a plastic primer, but stick to acrylics in that case.

2) prime, enamel and then a coat of future floor polish. Will get rid of any tackiness and help the paint stand up better.
