Yep...neither is much more difficult to find than the other....If anything finding the shell with unbroken handles is the most difficult part.

I do believe the one I had was the color like the one on the right, the brighter gold color. I got it for my birthday when the family was on vacation in Alabama. I don't have it anymore. but, I still have destro!

Just found about this. Thought I would share.

As Nova mentioned, a very easy to find variant. There's tons of both out there. At one point I had three of each. I think I'm down to two of each now.

wow so I'm not crazy. I was so disappointed with that when I was a kid that Destro's Despoiler didn't match the gold color on my Demon.

A few weeks ago I was very happy to find the version on the right because I already had the one on the left.

I actually like the gold better on the one on the right because it looks more like gold to me.

Yeah it was the first time I saw that version as well.

I now have 2 of the version on the left and 1 of the version on the right.

Maybe the version on the right is rare compared to the version on the left.

hey there im new to the site not collecting tho and over the years i have bought many lots of joe junk n a few collections and i have noticed a lot of slight colour changes i had 2 serpentor chariots and they were both very different shades of gold, also despoilers and awe strikers ranging from a dark green to a more light green it seems that the strikers i buy from the uk are lighter than your us counterparts. im sure i heard somewhere that the darker gold was a later mailaway version would that be right??

yep. despoilers and awe strikers were mail aways. so colors are all over the place. I got about 15 despoilers. 5 are really gold
