Helping out Non-Attendees

This is as heads up to all interested parties. I mentioned this before on FB, but in case you missed it or weren't sure of a time frame: I will be setting up as a vendor again at JoeCon this year in New Orleans.

If you are not attending and want a set of figures (box sets only) then I will be happy to pick one up for you at cost plus 10% (including the free bonus item for attendees only) and ship it to you sometime during the week follow Con weekend for the exact cost of postage and any shipping materials I may have to purchase specifically for the task. I will be using my software at home to print postage, and the cost is usually about 25% less than carrying an item into the PO.

I will be pre-ordering all these sets as the payments come in, so unless there is a sellout, delivery will be assured. If there is a sell out (and the club always announces when there is) you'll get an immediate refund via your payment method. Also be aware, that if you do not want to send any Paypal payments as a "gift" then your on the hook for the Paypal fees (3.9%). Also, all tags will be in my name....sorry, but the Club won't do them any other way. Just to be upfront.

I am limiting this to box sets only because every one always want to cheap out and pay for a bagged set which leaves a mad scramble to try to make the numbers work out. If you want to purchase an additional bagged set to sell or combine with another person, that's no problem but you need to make arrangements and gather the cash.

I intend to order my set late this week when registration opens, as the sets did sell out last year (both boxed and bagged). Money is due up front, and be aware that since I live in Texas and the club does business in Texas, there will be taxes. I am a club member, so you will be paying prices at my discount.

So, to reiterate: If your interested, contact me ASAP for details. Be prepared to pay up front in cash or Paypal. I am asking for a 10% "thank you" for standing in line and all that rot, and I hope this doesn't seem unreasonable to you. Thanks, and I hope this helps a few collectors out.


*edit* Almost forgot, there was strict limit of one (1) of each bonus item per buyer last year unless you purchase the "Golden Ticket" and that raised the limit to three (3) of each bonus item. I won't be buying a Golden Ticket because I don't feel that the extra $300 is worth the trouble. If there are any of you that want to in addition to the basic sets, I will stand in line for you if you want to foot that bill. And yes, that would get you all three of the exclusives. I'll take care of my own without using up any of your "slots".

Reply sent. As the club is only allowing 3 of each exclusive for each GT holder or one for each regular con package holder, I will be able to only help out one person on the Golden Ticket. There is no limit on Con sets (boxed and bagged) for regular package holders however.

No it wont, Alyosha did an awesome job with this offer to help. Got my awesome set tonight and saw the other stuff he was preping to get sent out to the others who took him up on this offer. Was tremednous gesture to extend a hand to us like this since we were not able to go in person and the home front sets selling out so damned quick.

Yes, I had a guy from the Netherlands and from Australia get sets last year. Only problem is that I'd suggest EMS shipping for the insurance and tracking and that could get very expensive. That being said, I'd do it.

Not a problem. I've already gotten everyone mailed out or arrangements made with the exception of two people. I just need to get them postage totals and they will be shipping (didn't have their addy's until the other day).

Got a great deal on some really great shipping boxes that should make sure that everything arrives to their destinations (farther-est away this year, Lima Peru!) safe and sound.

Wow, I'm glad you do this for other Collectors. How many sets were you able to purchase? I thought you had to be present to pick them up? Sounds like you got more then 3, since you said you shipped stuff out and still have two more. Just wondering. I was at the Con this year and know that I could of bought a package under my wife's name and got it, but I didn't know you could pick them up for others. Or can you buy multiples of the boxed set? Anyway, nice looking out!

You could buy several under your own name, but only got ONE voucher per name or person to get the attendee exclusives. That's why it isn't to hard to pick up a con set and the free item, but harder to get the exclusives, unless you got a gold ticket, or multiples of them, but you have to pay extra to do that too.

Chuckles is correct. I can buy as many sets as I like up to whatever nebulous limit the club puts on members (this year was 9 additional). I bought myself a GT (which allowed purchase of 3 sets of extras) had an additional voucher as a member (allowing one more set of extras).

Had I bought additional GT's, those would have come with additional vouchers for 3 more extra item sets.

I didn't relieze we could buy that many, I thought I had to put a set under my wifes name, but good to know I can get as many sets as I want. Will have to sign the wife up to get extras of the exclusives though, got it! You'd think I'd know how the Cons work, since I've been to 3 now! Thanks!
