This may be off point and completely unrelated to some of us. But.......Does anyone elese feel a little cheated by Hasbro. I mean, look at this picture. Cobra Commander looks pretty god damn cool (I.M.O of course.) Now look at the figures, Wave 1 Cobra Commander the colores are off. The H.I.S.S tank exclusive he looks better but again thank you Hasbro for the colors I wanted with out the moving parts. This can be seen throughout the entire movie line. all the colors are off from the the pictures of the actual movie and trailers.
Sorry had to get that off my chest. But this Cobra Commander in the shown picture looks awesome. Just like the cruel, sinister ruler of a global terrorist Army should look like.

I would punch him right in the face out of sheer happiness that they ditched the Friday The 13th VS Aliens mask and used the iconic battle mask instead. I would probably get ran over by a HissTank afterwards but it would be worth it.

ROC is to Retaliation what the Star Wars prequels were to the Original Trilogy; forgettable! This movie seems so unlike ROC that they already stand apart and it isn't even out yet!

I love the design of Cobra Commander, and everything else in the film so far, so much that I'd really love to see realistic 12" figures. After ROC I didn't think I want any movie product, but Retaliation has changed my stance on that completely. Now I want as much movie accurate product as I can get.

If you think about it, the mask we got in ROC was kind of a mash up between his face plate in the ARAH cartoon, and the battle armor mask of the DIC era. But yeah. I loved the ROC design, and to further take up for ROC, at least those toys were movie accurate. OOOOH!

You all forget that because the release date of the movie was changed Hasbro had to rush production on their toys, that's why there aren't a lot of screen accurate figures yet. Patience.

I liked the ROC version, although different, still cool. I liked the red carded "chase" version even better. I don't think there is a version out there that I don't like. Like I said before, I dig CC, probably my all-time favorite, no matter what he looks like. Just my 2 cents.....

The chase version was definitely an improvement over the ROC version, color and headsculpt wise. I absolutely love the new CC for this movie. Great looking costume that is 100% CC. The black colors and the red underneath the coat and that helmet is iconic without being Batman and Robin silly. I sure hope we get a version that looks more like this without being some type of convention exclusive or an exclusive at all.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Hasbro makes so many CCs that they're bound to get around to this version sooner or later. It might not be in the movie line proper, maybe in the follow-up line, but I'm sure we'll see this in figure form eventually.

BTW, RoC DOES suck, sorry. But nothing is absolute in its suckatude, and anyone who tells you different truly does have "their head up their asses." While I dislike the movie as a whole, there are aspects that I like. While I hate CC's look in the film, I DID very much enjoy the actor's take on the character, and honestly, the main reason I hate the look is because its not old-school. Taken on its own, its actually okay. Storm Shadow and Scarlett were both very cool. But overall, the cheese was just a bit too much for me...I was never even that big a fan of the cartoon; I was down with the comic all the way, and when a comic book is more serious and mature than a movie...

And you're also complaining that its off topic to be bringing up RoC here. Um, we're talking about the SEQUEL. Nothing could be more on topic!

I really love the look of this CC. Chu is so on track with this franchise. We will see some insane product down the line. Wait til the cartoon kicks into gear. I could easily see a figure of this, become the new default CC (i'm one of the few that only has a one version of each character), replacing the Resolute CC (which looks similar, albeit a bit more corny).

Aside from Daft Punk, what a great list of what a great list of villains. Those three incarnations are definitely in my top ten greatest movie villains ever, and just general villains. I love the designs. Finally, CC has been modernized beautifully.

There is definitely a need for new parts. Something resembling the design could be bashed, but overall it needs to be an all new mold. I saw that because it would be a shame not to go full hilt on such a great design, especially when we've already gotten two all new Roadblocks.

I think it worked perfectly for the joke though, lol. Yes, I think Red Skull could have had more screen time, but I'm confident we'll see him again in the future.

CC is definitely one of my favorite villains as well. The 80s just had some extremely cool villains, I'm glad to see Cobra Commander handled by someone with a bit more care and appreciation for the character.

I hope you are right, but my actual job is to look for things like that so Its a force of habit. Anytime they use a mirror in movie, look for the tricks on how they hide the camera, I find that stuff very entertaining, It takes a lot of film making talent to film it right.
