Don't forget his contributions on other cars, such as the Shelby Series 1 and his work on the Dodge Viper. The Viper is still one of the most beautiful cars ever made. He is one of the last legends of the auto world and he will be missed greatly.

True. Heart transplant in 1990 and kidney transplant in 1996 and made it to age 89. He beat the odds in racing and in life.
