Discount Joes found at Dollar General - Oklahoma

On my way home today, I saw a tweet about the discount Joes being found in the wild, so I took a shot and ran by a Dollar General. No luck. On a whim, I decided to try another and lo and behold, a full set. I've never been this lucky when it comes to finding figures. They were on the old $3.50 pegs, but they rang up at $6.00. I was so excited I didn't raise a stink about it. But they're out there. Go forth and good luck everyone.

I found them at one of the Canton Ohio Dollar General's tonight. They didn't have them out, but I took my phone and showed one of the girls a picture from this thread and she saw them come in. They only got one case and I was able to pick them up. She said that they got them in on Wednesday. I hope this helps anyone out there that is trying to get them.

To clear up the $3.50/$6.00 question, the tag for $3.50 is for those mighty Joe figurines, which every store had like 20 of and the $6.00 is the actual price for these 3 3/4 Joes, the same cost as the Transformers and MU figures.

I got 10 Dollar Generals within 20 miles of my house and one literally 1/2 mile from me which I am cool with the manager and all the employees. None have them yet, yeah I hit them all this evening, but I only want a few so I will try to assist some of y'alls that don't have Dollar Generals in your State the best I can. That peg is for those silly ROC Combat Heroes 2-pack figurines. All Dollar Generals seem to have those for the past few years. It just happens that store pictured put these new 3 3/4 figures on that peg. All the Dollar Generals I went to today didn't have the new figures but did have the MU, Transformers, etc... And they all had a bright orange tag "new" on the price tag of $6.00... So it makes sense that these Joes would be price the same price as all the other Hasbro action figures on the rack... So yes I bet you could get the clerk/manager at certian stores to honor the $3.50 tag that says "G.I. Joe Action Figures" if you want if you feel the need to haggle pricing...

On my way home today, I saw a tweet about the discount Joes being found in the wild, so I took a shot and ran by a Dollar General. No luck. On a whim, I decided to try another and lo and behold, a full set. I've never been this lucky when it comes to finding figures. They were on the old $3.50 pegs, but they rang up at $6.00. I was so excited I didn't raise a stink about it. But they're out there. Go forth and good luck everyone.

That $3.50 price tag is for the Combat Heroes figures (super hero squad style). I am going to try to get them to honor it, but realize that the tag goes with a different product. They are just stocking the figures on the wrong peg.

Hey guys - so I'm in Kentucky and I have 5 DG's in my town alone! I hit four of the five and only found two full sets. I will keep my eyes open and will be checking frequently. Up front, my selfish needs are almost complete, i.e. four Black Cobra Troopers, so if I find any I will post so the frenzy can begin. I did list a few on eBay to pay for the gas and this initial purchase, but the next ones I find will be offered to Tankers first!
On a related note, the first store I hit had them and they were all very nice folks. The second one was in a skectchier part of town and they still had the ACE, Tele-Viper, ect for $3.50 and said that's all they had. The third had ROC Combat Heroes on the peg, and they too just gave me the passive treatment when I attempted to prod them for info regarding them. The last one I hit had a set, and this was the one I remember going to as a kid, so it was kinda cool to find them there, in the same old strip mall that had a Ben Franklin where I first played 'Scramble' and 'Dig Dug' and bought my 'Slave-1' back in the day!

Highly doubtful this is a one-off product. It wouldn't be worth Hasbro's time or effort. I also doubt they'll ONLY be available at Dollar General.

As far as "one or two cases" well, when you think about it, most stores only get one or two cases of product in at a time, unless it's the holidays or a major marketing launch/push which this almost certainly is not.

I suspect we'll be seeing plenty of these figures for quite some time to come.

I wonder if they are a one and done type thing being there is no peg pricetag for them and some are finding them on the shelves, usually they at least have a pricetag for new product.

I'm thinking that I won't have a chance at the one DG store in our area here. I'd appreciate being on the list of people asking for a set, or at least for the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow figures if I could.

Probably true, however, you don't know the Los Angeles County area. We're scalper central. If there's like one to two Dollar Generals for all of us, you can guarantee that Dollar General store has already pulled the phone lines, turned the "open" sign around and is ducked behind the counter hiding from all the zombie collectors.

Around here, no sign of them. I was told that it was unlikely one place would get them because she just set up the new planagram (or something like that) and there is no spot for them. The ross's here seem to have never gotten the resolute packs or tru spirit and qk, obviously these are two different stores but who knows if this region will even get these. She had plenty of the televiper type single cards.

There probably aren't price tags for them because this is the initial push of product. We're not talking about Wal-Mart or Target here (who also often get new product without having an "official" place for it yet, or have items in-store that "aren't in the system yet").

This isn't some kind of major nationwide organized launch or likely even an "exclusive" product. This is a new product line for HASBRO that they're offering to discount store and "small box" retail chains. They're not going to launch a new product line like that for just one store (at least that isn't named "Wal-Mart").

Trust me...these are gonna show up elsewhere. No reason not to look now if you've got a store nearby, but I'm confident these aren't going to just pop up for a second and then disappear, never to be seen again.

Checked out some stores in Nashville and called a bunch. No luck. A couple stores did say that their trucks come saturdays so that may be when they hit. Looks like me and the girlfriend are goin shopping!

Anyone try Family Dollar yet? They are owned by the same company, like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I have more of those in my area, i am hoping they go there, too.

I swung by a DG in Chandler, AZ last night on my way home from work but didn't see any figs.

There was another guy in his mid-to-late 30's loitering in the toy aisle trying to look casual looking on the shelves and I was THIS CLOSE to asking him if he'd found Bolo yet.

There are a buttload of DGs around the Phoenix area...
Any other AZ tankers find anything yet?

I really hope your right, i would like to be able to frequently shop for these casually..dont wanna see em get stocked once and then poof gone...

We've still got the variant colors to come as well so I'd be very surprised if they didn't get a lot of stock in eventually.

I'm just looking for one each of most of the figures and three of the Cobra Troopers if I can be so lucky.
