I've always thought I would only buy a USS Flagg if it's brand spanking new in the box. That also means I'll never own one lol. but dang check this one out on ebay.

I'd seriously consider that if it was $500 and he can keep the box. It's about a 2.5 hour drive for me so I'd go and pick it up on a Saturday. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to downplay the aquisition of this piece to my wife, like I can do about 85% of the time.

I'd get the box too. They're hard to find with colors that pop like that. That thing has stayed in the sleeve for the duration it's been stored.

I wish I could buy that! I'd love to get it. It's also worth noting that it has a US flag on the sticker sheet. I always thought the Canadian ones had a Canada flag. If it really did come with the US Flag, then it's nice to see that someone at Hasbro realized that even kids might realize that an Aircraft carrier called the USS Flagg sporting a Canadian flag might seem weird...haha. They would have had to rename it the HSMC FLagg.

That Canadian version should have the Canadian flag. Aire shows one in her video that has the Canadian flag.

The Canadian Flagg (with box) that I have, came with a Canadian flag sticker as well as Canada specific stickers for the small yellow tow vehicle.
I wonder if this set of stickers was included in error - or maybe early on before the Canada specific stickers were printed and available (?)
It is doubly perplexing, because to my knowledge, the Canadian Flagg box is the only Canadian release box that shows the actual Canadian flag on the box art itself! One of my favorite things about that box!

Dude, you ever heard of a credit card? Just buy it with high bid at the last minute of the auction and start making budget plans to pay off the debt within 6 months or so. It would be well worth it down the road. With 2 more days to go on this listing, it'll wind up around $3,000. The seller picks a bad time to sell with the lagging economy. If I was him, I would hold on to it for few more years and get $6,000 for it or more.

Does Canada even have any aircraft carriers in that size class?

That's my FLAGG. It is really nice. Whoever gets it can either store it in their collection, or open it up and put it together like it's 1985.
I noticed the US flag on the sticker sheet and I thought that was odd, too. I've had it about 11 years. It's possible whoever owned it previously stuck a US flag sticker sheet in there, but the "Live the Adventure" bi-lingual insert is there, and the French Canadian instruction insert, so it seems as if the paperwork is original. I know I had thought I would need to purchase a repro US label if I wanted a US flag on it if I assembled it.
If anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask.

nice flagg...this is the only other way I would have gotten one...$800 on the one i got is almost as in good of condition as this one...minus the parts still sealed in their baggies and a working microphone/fantail railing...wonder where this one will go price wise lol..

But what's also interesting is that it has the "Live the Adventure" logo on the box and the matching promotional insert included... both shown in English and French. So, how did the stickers get messed up? Without unsealing a box yourself, we may never know.

The seller "MAY" have indeed had the last laugh because the bid history shows a "0" feedback bidder threw in bids along the way and pushed this thing up the last $1500 at the end! I PRAY this is not shill bidding. If I was the winner, I'd have ebay investigate the 0 feedback account for any hint of shill bidding befor I paid. If it checked out, fine. Just think that's a lot of coin not to be safe.

Dude, I know I don't have any e-cred here, since I just posted for the first time the other day, but believe me I was sweating the 0 guy and hoping he did not win just in case he did not pay. I even put in the description for people under 5 feedback not to bid without contacting me first, but some people either don't read or don't care. FWIW, it was a bidding war between 3 people, only 1 of which was a low fb guy. I would have been happy if it went for $1500.

I hope so too. I'm just a collector like you guys, not a dealer. I've been selling off most of my vehicles recently. Holding onto the figures for now until I have time to sort out the dupes and hopefully hold onto the non-dupes.

It looks like the 0 feedback person is only there to inflate the price. Probably the same person going around and bidding up auctions for quite awhile now?

Well the high bidder flaked out, big surprise. I'm not even going to second chance offer the 0 guy, too much chance for fraud there with a high value item. I tried to second chance the third highest bidder, he doesn't want it anymore either. Needless to say, I'm disappointed, but the wife is the most disappointed.
I'm not going to try to re-list it right now because I'm trying to move out of state, I don't have time to wait around and probably see the same BS happen again.
I am willing to entertain offers on here if anyone is interested for the next day or so. *Serious* offers only please, which means no offers that you don't intend to follow through with. I'm in North Alabama if anyone is interested in local pickup
If nothing works out, I guess I'll store it with a relative and try to sell again when I come back to visit in a year or two, and hope it isn't damaged in the mean time.

Dang, that's too bad, I kinda figured something was up....I've had numerous "0 feedbackers" bid on my stuff in the last 3 months. They never pan out as far as paying or respond to e-mails. Not sure what the deal is but I'm seeing a trend that is quite alarming.
Good luck with the Flagg, something will work out. Especially here on the Tank, I'm sure someone will glady take it off your hands for a good price.

USS Flagg 2012

Looks like I'm going to be hanging onto it for now.
I would not be surprised if the 0 feedbacker was an alt of one of the bidders or another party trying to screw up the auction to go in afterward and make a low ball offer. It's very interesting some people would make offers or bids, then afterward drop their offers by 75%. I can believe you "got caught up in the bidding" up to maybe a grand or so, but not that you "got caught up in bidding" up to 4x what you thought it was worth.
There was also only 1 0 fb guy, but everyone wants to imagine they were the only real bidder.
It's also possible it was someone trying to jack up the bidding just to flush more of them onto the market. 2 weeks ago, there were hardly any Flaggs on eBay, now there's more than half a dozen (albeit none in as good condition). There will probably be even more listed as people see the high bid amount (not knowing the outcome) and start listing theirs. The more come onto the market at the same time, the lower the prices.
Anyone have experience selling or buying these at conventions?
