i have a great idea instead of the new gi joe movie wich is sure to be as lame as the first

lets have a Indiana Jones movie where he travels to india in search of RARE Funskools GI Joes... hahahahahahahah

if not that lets have a joe movie that is accurate to the 80s toy line/cartoon
examples: ripcord is not black.
no vehicles were used
bad choice of actors for roles, not believable
also where is the moral lesson for kids lololol

anyways im not hating on anyone who like the joe movie...
i was just having fun and being creative... no offense intended..

I hate the attitude that if an adaptation is done(such as ROC or Retaliation) That it has to be 100% faithful to the source material. Really? Seems like that would be boring to me. Just like how so many fanboys are bitching about how Bane looks in the new Batman. I swear a movie could be absolutely perfect and people would find things to bitch about. Personally I think a movie EXACTLY like the freakin sunbow cartoon would suck. I mean have you guys even watched that since you've became an adult? Its pretty damn laughable by today's standards.

I believe that if the characters "act" and are somewhat "recognizable" in a live action movie, than thats good enough for me.

I agree

I don't think he's saying the sunbow accurate movie would be good. it would be hilariously bad. I want to see a fan film like that.

I'm Watching through the sunbow stuff right now. first time since i was in Jr. high. it's awesomely bad.

I like your idea. The comic story by Larry Hama has endured the test of time. Why the movie producers keep thinking they can do one better than the original always has confused me.

No hating on the new stuff but I do have to contend that whatever crap Goldner has approved, pale in comparison to the wealth of story Hama, IDW, and even DDP has published.

The producers, writers, and director of the Joe films ought to pay attention to the backstory. They might make a successful film if they did.

Look to Avengers. Now that has a story. Jim Cameron always has said story is the most important part of the film. You can have all of the special defects you can afford and it won't make a hill of beans without a great screenplay and Avengers as one!

In order for Joe: Retardation to be a truly successful film, it will need a great story also. I am not sure if it has one at this point because I predicted most of the film's events the night after I witnessed the tragedy of the RoC. And if I can predict it, then other people can. Hardly worth a Netflix.

My bet is on Dark Knight Rising. There will be none higher this summer. None higher.

Wait are you saying you could not predict the Avengers movies events? It was really simple superheroes fight. It wasn't the story that made the Avengers movie good it was the fact that they kept it simple with dialog that was clever while not overly complicated. Dark Knight will not come close to the Avengers because it will be dark and complicated with good story that will turn away the average movie watcher. And as for Larry Hama, I enjoy most of his work with Joe and still buy every issue, but the stories would not be good for movies. Thankfully we will not be talking about a movie full of blue cyber ninjas wageing war against Cobra.
