Was there any GI Joe figure released with a HK 416 rifle?

I know Marauder Gun Runners has one coming out someday, but I would at least like to finish up my custom projects sometime soon.

I don't know what the hell it's supposed to be.

It honestly looks like some kinda Saiga AK clone - the hand guard shape is right for a Saiga, and it has an AK style selector switch on it and all, plus the mag is longer than a 30 round AR mag, and looks more like an AK one.

But honestly, a US MP w/ an AK carbine makes no sense. It looks like a short M4 or a M16 Commando unless you look up close, but the detail pic sure has the characteristics of a Saiga AK.

I've learned not to bother wondering why what weapons get placed with whom. I will say it's chambered in the sane round as the M4, so as he's police maybe that's what the force is issuing.


Just look at the Collector's Club Sturmovik. What the hell is he doing with a Stoner 63?

Easy answer? Hasbro hasn't got enough usable Eastern Bloc weapon molds.

That wave has been delayed. The accessories for the new wave had the wrong size pins. They decided the delay would be worth it to make everything compatible.

For the OP, you could clip off the front sight on the M4, shorten the barrel, and put on the suppressor. Should be close.

I'd take anything designed in Eastern Europe or Russia over just slapping any old firearm in there. I dig it (the Stoner 63), but a Russian commando running around with a barely-produced American rifle from the '60s?

This set would have been a great opportunity to cast the Winter Soldier SVD in a hard plastic, but we're getting than lame undersize SVDS again.

SOG and other Spec Ops guys (SEALs, Green Berets, etc.) used captured or otherwise clandestinely procured enemy equipment in Vietnam, and still do- in the days leading up to the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, for example. Not a stretch for their Ruskie counterparts to do the same.

Cheap shouldn't matter, again he's a MP / Cop, if they have the budget for HK G36Cs, then they have the bidget for HK 416s. Again, why the hell would they be using Israeli Galils?

If he was Mossad that would make sense, but even they I'd expect him to be in a M4 before a Galil.

Again, I think they were after either a M16 Commando look, although that would have a skinny 9mm mag, or a short, entry M4 look.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comments. I have been waiting for Marauder to release their series 6 line for months now, ever since they previewed the series last year.

I saw on facebook that they will hopefully have some news in the next few days on a possible release date or probably another three month delay.

Firefly 2010 - Pursuit of Cobra Cobra Figures G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra (http://www.hisstank.com/database/pursuit-of-cobra-cobra-figures-117/firefly-2390/)

So I picked up the Firefly figure and need to do some modifications to the rifle to take off the granade launcher. Can anyone please provide some suggestions on the best way to cut that piece off? Exact-o knife? Mini handsaw and sand paper?
