Retaliation Amazon sneak peek In Hand pics and review

Well I got my Retaliation pack today. Im sort of impressed and then not. The figs are decent sculpts and all but wheres the movie accuracy? Heres my quick review

Roadblock: Good overall likeness of the rock and a decent fig except for the thing molded into his hand (going buy buy). Decent fig not Great

Snake eyes: Decent sculpt but NO move likeness. He just doesnt have the cool armor that he does in the movie. Normal Joints for a Joe fig other than the ankle joints. The load bearing vest is like the one he wore at the beginning of the first movie. again decent fig not great

Storm Shadow: Heres where they start improving. Great new sculpt. He also has the newer ankle joints introduced in the POC/30th lines. Sad part is his joints are super loose. Other than that, I love thie figure.

Cobra Commander: This is the whole reason I ordered the pack. Great sculpt even though there is little to no movie likeness. details great from his helmet down to his knee pads. Best fig in the Pack.

Thanks for the review! One question though: are the figures other than CC the same as the single carded versions? RB and SS look identical as far as I can see from the pictures, SE looks the same aside from the vest

Yes they are all the same. I think the SS might have different paint apps. SE is the same aside from the vest

That's a dissapointment but hey the CC is pretty cool. Also it looks like they actually come with stands and file cards!

Yeah they come with the dog tag style stands the ROC desert ambush Duke had.

I like em! They look good enough for what they are. With a little bit of work and tweeking they can be great.

Thanks for the review and pics. CC looks nicer than single carded version and that SE vest is cool. I think i grab this set instead of single carded counterparts.

Yeah Im kind of disapointed about that. luckily I think hes cool reguardless.

Really liking the CC....is the obscenely large holster removable?

might be if you pop the leg screw. I just gave him a different gun. Also had to to give Snake Eyes a diff sword. the one he comes with looked cheap.

Indeed. I swapped Lt stone hands and gave him an M249 SAW. Helps but he still pretty basic. Gonna customize him some how. Thinking I my try my hand at Muti-Cam like they wear in the movie.

Good review, bro. Like you, I mainly ordered the Retaliation set for the Cobra Commander figure. Even though it's not entirely "movie accurate" it's still an amazing design and sculpt. The helmet is really fucking cool looking.

This set is saving a few on the single carded versions...wont need the BBTS 9 pack now at all since I care nothing for that Snake Eyes, Zartan and Duke in that set from single carded wave 1 figures...

That Storm Shadow is the BEST STORM shadow to date...I will get many of those to use his hea don other NInjas I have....it beats the "cat" eared look of the 25th anni heads...hope it snot too big. Do you have any to put them side by side with this storm shadow?

Thinking I will get 2 of these wave 2 Roadblocks to combine with the wave 1 black t-shirt one(teh hands shoudl work much better)....get rid of the crap unarticualted lower legs and use that upper and lower torso on this body. Are these 2 the same height and girth?

Ahh ok good...I hate packages that severley advertise what they are ....looking at you sideshow /glare....a box that says "GI JOE Exclsuive Edition- Zartan, SIDESHOW COLECITBLES" is not a keen way to do that...my only gripe with those peeps

SE had one sword and to Vector Kriss SMGs and no scabbard. SS does have a clip pack that holds both swords.

I really only want this pack for the CC as I am sure I will be able to get a SS single and the SE and RB are horrible... So basically 40 bucks for that CC... Think I might have to pass...

All the figures in this pack is well worth the $39.99 price tag! From the outer black mailer box to the "box of chocolates" style box and the figures are really great! Yes even roadblock is great! I noticed the snake eyes and storm shadow have rocker ankles introduced first with the mu figures which is a plus! I recommend this set!
