It's being reported that Seau was found dead in his home. This is a shame.

Also mods should edit the typo in the title. I typed it a bit fast.

Damn. He was a stand up guy and player.
Too keep this on a Joe level, any other real people who could be Joes?
That is sad.
Was he the model for Red Dog?

So sad. I'm a longtime Patriots fan and he was one of my favorites when he was with the Pats. Loved his show "Sports Jobs with Junior Seau" as well. What a shame. Wondering if this is Post Concussion Syndrome related. Too many former players are meeting this fate. My thoughts and prayers to the Seau family

It happens. A guy did it to himself sitting in his car across the street from our clinic a few years ago.

It would be cool for someone to make a custom of Jr. as Red Dog but with his Chargers jersey. We'll miss you #55.
/I know he played for the Pats but he'll be remembered as a Charger

Well a couple of weeks ago another player committed suicide the same way. He didnt want to do it to the head for they could look into the whole concussion issue for NFL players. earlier they mentioned Seau might have done it for the same reason. Its to bad. He was a awesome player and all though I never met him he seemed like a great guy.

That was a few years ago when one of my football heros, Dave Duerson (safety for 85 Bears) shot himself in the chest. His autopsy did show brain damage due to multiple traumatic brain injuries.
Anyway, my prayers for the Seau family. Yes, someone make a Red Dog w/ a 55 Chargers jersey.

also couple weeks ago...Junior Seau found dead in apparent suicide - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/junior-seau-found-dead-apparent-suicide-self-inflicted-gunshot-oceanside-home-050212)
"If his death is ruled a suicide, Seau would be the second former player in less than two weeks to kill himself. Former Atlanta Falcons (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/atlanta-falcons/67038) defensive back Ray Easterling shot himself in his Richmond, Va., home on April 19. Easterling, 62, had suffered from depression and insomnia for years and was one of the first players to sue the league over concussions."

Being from San Diego and being a huge charger fan I can't believe out of all people Junior Seau is dead with a gunshot wound to the chest. The guy was so great to the community of San Diego especially Oceanside about 35 minutes outside of San Diego were he was from. What a huge loss this is, RIP Junior we will miss you.
