Question for the organizers/those involved who are around:

Will the pre-order for the con set will be separate from the ticket sales this year? Last year we ordered both at the same time.

Just want to be sure as I plan to get both.

What kind of exclusives have been available in the past?

I'm taking it that "pre-order" doesn't mean that they will ship your set to you in the USA if you can't attend the Con. :(

Might actually be able to make it this time, as we're moving to Ottawa. :)

What kind of exclusives have been available in the past?

They are hand-painted and made up out of existing figures. They had some pretty cool designs, but since they are all hand made, they only make like 50-100 sets, if I recall.

The really REALLY expensive kind :D

The best one I can think of they did was the HATE tank. Which was a chromed out hisstank.

Last year was a run of 125. Trust me, I know. I'm the guy that did all of the dye jobs, painted the Valkyrie head and 6 of the bodies (I also did the windshield in that HATE tank pictured above). I'm not with the CJC staff anymore so I don't have any inside info for you guys. My favorite thing was the HATE tank and my favorite figure was Captain Ruin.

lol, they will NEVER hold it in the Maritimes.

I've been living in Halifax for five years now and we don't even have a damn comic convention, much less a toy show/meet, much less one focused on one particular brand.

There really, really should be an annual comic/toy/etc. show here. I though HalCon might fit the bill, but the price to get in was just stupid - I think around $30 (plus I heard it sucked anyway).

At least we have some pretty good stores, though. :)

Can anyone tell me how much was the Canadian con set last year?

Also, are they going to do a preorder for the set this year too?

Last year it was $160 for 8 figures (so $20 a figure).

They are going to small pro-order for attending members. Limited run, maybe 25 - 50 sets.

There should be 125 sets I think.
