Alright ya Jack Wagons!!!!!!

Ive dropped the idea a few times to other MI tankers as to who would be interested in a meet up, so here is what was proposed. Let me know who is in and will be there.

May 19 at the Motor City Comic Con Michigans largest comic con held in Novi the weekend of May 18 thru 20th.

I am going to be going on Saturday the 19th Im inviting Tankers to come raid the show and hang out, after go to the Novi Buffalo wild wings and kill some beer and wings. let me know who may be interested.

Aarrrghh...my son has a soccer game at noon and my daughter's recital is at 2:30. It would have to be an evening for me, and I've got no idea how late the show would be open. I wonder what fellas think about Sunday? Either way, if I have to sit this one out, I'm still working on getting us a place to hang out and have a custom party--either my church or a local hobby shop. CUSTOM, not costume, by the way--although I wouldn't stop you from dressing up. ;)

yea, my son has a 11 AM game and we are goign right after...sunday is a no go for me as we have to be on the opposite side of state for another match with his premier team. BUT dont let me stop you all if you want to meet up those who can. Im down for a custom Joe meet up. no worries no cosplay for this guy.

the knights of columbus usually has a mini comic con either the week after or maybe before and i think it is cheaper. the down side is it is small and there is less interesting people to look at

my schedule sucks. i have no idea what is going on my work makes schedules for the next month 15 days before. if i can find out what day everyone is think of i might be able to take the day off. tomorrow i can find out my personal schedule for june.

Detested that show in the past, too high of a door fee for too little. That and it is the weekend before the World Steam Expo and I have a LOT to do to prepare for that...

Also, 2013/4 - Steampunk Cobra Commander, I *will* do it.

first week of June is a no go for me (daughter is graduating and we have open houses) depending on the day mainly. 1st week of July my plant is shut down for change over and yes I know it is fourth of July week. ssooo lets blow shit up. as for kidnapping youdoitimbusy.....its OSOK id be more worried about being snatched by LOL and what superpower could you possibly have that OSOK does not have already?????

Okay, so I mentioned this back in April or so. I'm curious to know who might be interested in a get together in the Walled Lake area (between Novi and Waterford)?

I am looking for a place to host a "custom" party. My church charges $70 (time, 4-5 hours, shouldn't be a problem). They charge to cover custodian/clean up/etc. I was also going to check in with our local hobby shop. It's small, but I thought they could benefit from a gathering of people who might want to have access to some model master acrylic paints. ;)

I figured I'd call the hobby shop tomorrow. If we went the church route, I figured I might ask for donations and/or hold a raffle for a few figures (found a lifeline and zombie viper the other day) to defray the costs.

So, thinking out loud. If we could nail down a date, would anyone be interested? I think it would be a lot of fun to work on customs, get to know fellow Tankers, and maybe even swap figures during a morning/afternoon/evening of fun. Even bring some food to pass. Thoughts?

All are certainly welcome! You're probably talking a 4 hour drive, though, from my area in metro Detroit. :(

Cool...let me direct you guys to a NEW thread for Michiganders with a poll for times/dates. It would be in the metro Detroit area if I organize it, anyway...anyone else is free to jump in if they want and offer another location, I won't be offended. I'm in the Novi/Walled Lake/Waterford region. I'll put that up later today.
