The Official "I like Firefly's look in Retaliation" Thread.

I like Firefly's look in Retaliation.

1. He has scars on his face, like someone who blows shit up for a living would probably have,

2. The camo job on his jacket almost looks spray-painted (except for the Cobra patch), which adds to him looking crazy. (Again, this guy blows shit up for a living!)

3. Making him a bigger dude is an interesting idea.

4. Even though there's the questionable little scales, the exact colors aren't there and he has a biker leather instead of... whatever, we have a crazy looking guy in camo w/ a camo balaclava portrayed by A GOOD ACTOR. As far as "look" and "being true," that alone, is better than 85% of what we got w/ ROC.

5. Without the mask, he slightly resembles Firefly's "Joe" look from Sigma 6.

Yes, and he was terrible in that terrible movie but he's good in everything else I've seen him in. He was awesome in Thor w/ a very small part and he was phenomenal in the HBO series Rome, if you ever saw any of that. He made you empathetic to a character you really shouldn't have felt anything for.

Man, I absolutely love that pic in your sig! It is so awesome and I can't wait to see this movie at least once! I saw RoC 3 times in the theaters so Retaliation will probably be at least 3 times, if not more. Those troops look kinda like Alley-Vipers without hteir gear and facemask pieces.

Weird, is it just me or does it kind of look like ARAH Zartan on the wall behind the Red Ninjas at the top of the steps? I noticed that right away and can't stop looking at it, maybe it's just my mind playing tricks or something?

Context is everything. How many Joe figures have looked 'meh' in photos only to be awesome in our hands? With movie lighting, direction and fluid movement, a 'lame' costume can look stellar when in action.

The new look is awesome, Ive only seen Ray in Thor, so I can't really talk about his acting, but I did enjoy his performance!

I remember him from the awesome Rome series. I recall liking his performance much better than the other guy he was teamed up with.

I seriously don't think this guy will disappoint as Firefly. I can't wait to see how he goes about the task of hunting down the surviving Joes. I'm sure a generous use of explosives and incendiaries will be involved!
