You guys that are painting your new Sky Strikers -

How is the finish coming out or are you having any problems getting a glossy finish on them due to the fact that the plastic on the new Sky Striker's body is textured / rough, and not smooth like the original?

Me either. Came out good. You could always wet sand it and then buff it. I think TTT has a guide on this.

No, I wasn't looking to go that crazy w/ it. It was just that I plan on painting one of mine a different color, and I'm going to spray it for sure, but I just wanted to make sure the factory texture was not an issue.

you can get a glossy finish but don't expect a mirror-like shine

Yes, you can get a gloss finish with no added paint. I have one of mine I just used nothing but gloss clear coat on it. You have to go to a hobby store. Don't settle for the stuff at Walmart. The best I have found is Testors one coat Lacquer. Used for painting model cars metallic colors.

The testors colors that your talking about are hard to get good coverage with, go tamiya if spray painting or testors model master if airbrushing
