Awesome find OP. Good read. I'm curious how the team dynamic will be without Duke. Seems odd to me, to just kill him off. But if nothing else, we def know Johnson has more than enough charisma to take the reigns as the team leader. I just hope it still "feels" like GI Joe, and not just another Rock movie with ninjas.

In general, how do most people feel about Roadblock, traditionally just a support character, becoming the centerpiece of the Joe team?

Didnt they enjoy the first movie?! LOL Duke could die in it or get captured who knows, but the idea of him being written out and replaced for much of the movie is just stupid and not GI JOE.

It is really nothing new here, and I dont have high hopes for this movie, likely it will dud out or make some money and still suck. Even terrible movies can be successful.

It's not the comic. It's not the cartoon. But it looks like it will probably be cool, and I'm looking forward to it. After the liberties taken by the previous one, I couldn't care less what changes they make now if it is still a good solid film. This movie is it's own universe, and who lives or dies makes little difference. The director seems to get GI Joe, the actors seem to be enthusiastic about it. The trailers are great. Bring it on!

I love how the guy on the left says he hated the first movie and this new movie looks like fun and has all the gadgets, explosions, fighting and he doesn't care about the story. UH! the first one has all that too.

My big fear, that has kept me awake many nights... is that Storm Shadow was rescuing Destro, not Rex/CC... and that Destro was going to take over the Commander slot. Thankfully, it sounds like I was worried for nothing.

PS-This is not to say say I'm in love with a DukeButtBuddy/BaronessBrother take on Cobra Commander... but it's a damn sight better than Destro taking the role.

Destro is Commander? I really hope not. That is horrible idea, they are separate characters, I really don't like this "two in one" thing. I will have on movie premiere Cobra Commander costume and my friend will be dressed like Destro. How we will be feel after that?

If you would read what he said correctly, you would see that, that was what he was afraid would happen, but it didnt because we now know, from this footage that was shown that it is still cc, not destro as cc, so now he is happy along with everyone else.

The last trailer made it seem like they laid out the whole movie.

Nice twist at the end of that trailer. Hopefully Chu and Co. have more surprises up their sleeves.

Maybe "Rex" doens't make it? Dies shortly after the prison break? But they need someone to fill that role to maintain the image/threat of a terrorist leader. Therefore CC becomes someone other than Rex... Just spit balling here.
