I was stationed in South Korea 10 years ago, I am glad Im not there now:

North Korea Vows ‘Special Actions’ to Turn Seoul to ‘Ashes’ - ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/04/north-korea-vows-special-actions-to-turn-seoul-to-ashes/)

Where are some places you ugys are glad you dont work anymore?

Another one for me is Trugreen, the lawncare company. I knocked door to door for sales and did the lawn treatments. I never worked harder in my life. I lost 40 pounds doing that job, I was even bitten by a dog. The sales side was worse though. Sales callers and door to door salesman are right up there with lawyers on the Most Despised list. I felt like an asshole the whole time.

Trugreen does my lawn. We keep trying to cancel our service but they keep ignoring us and doing our lawn anyway.

I'm glad Trugreen was mentioned.

An old friend of mine just stopped by my house Saturday and he had just got a job there a couple months ago and was praising that place, and told me I should look into it. He was telling how easy it was, and how much money he makes.

I actually considered it.

what sucks for me? I would love to do construction again. I had a good time doing it when i was younger part time, diffrent tasks, diffrent places, got to work outdoors and the pay was decent.

alas my body isnt what it used to be and i couldnt handle it:(

Yeah, sounds like them. They always want to get you on the hook for one or two more treatments. They are ruthless man. You have to call and be firm. Tell them next time they treat you are calling the cops for tresspassing.

The sales money can be good if you are good at it. I had good weeks and bad. If you dont mind pestering people and you are good at sales you can make a little money. But even our best sales guys got burned out and quit.

I worked at TRU for a second job too. I got tired of the customers always complaining about what we had and didnt have in stock. I just didnt want to deal with bitchy moms and scalpers anymore.

Target

yeah ill put kmart on the list.
i got so tired of having to not only answer my calls but the other 2 porters who never responded to cart runs. (or anything for that matter,)

"102 code c"
2 minutes later "102 code c"
repeat,

"110 code c"
2 minutes repeat then repeat again

"150 (my number, usualy when i am in the middle of stocking or helping a customer) code C"

so i have to go get the carts, come back and finish restocking or whatever, then 45 minutes later a repeat.

this whole time the other 2 clowns were in teh back doing nothing.
the worst part is 2 fold.
1. the other 2 were paid more then me
2. i would get a tongue lashing from management for not responding to my calls fast enough..........

yeah kmart can kiss my ass

This sounded very similar to my experience at Borders, albeit before they closed down. I used to do a majority of the work and didn't get paid as much as I should have and there were other people who slacked off constantly. The job was aggravating as most retail is. I can relate to your frustration and you have my sympathy.

Near the end of my tenure, I hated working at Aaron's Sales and Lease. What a skeezy place. I had to "return" a dining room table...on Thanksgiving once. Ya...big asshole move I know. The other worst repo...er...return was a single mom's bunkbed set for her kids. The little boy was helping me carry the pieces down while asking his mom "Didn't Daddy OSOK pay the bill this month?"

Ok I made that last part up...but I did get the bunkbed. :P
