Custom Cobra base from Joe HQ

Over the weekend I picked up a lot of Joe items. The Terror Drome (top half 90% complete, bottom half 5% complete), the base parts for Joe HQ, Joe Tactical Platform (50% complete), and a Devil Fish for $25. I put the Platform on top of the HQ while I worked on cleaning the Drome and noticed that the HQ and Platform might go well together as a bottom and top sections of a Cobra base. Any ideas about this working? Also thought of spraying finished product with a light or dark blue Krylon for plastic. Anyone had any success with it? Any help would be appreciated.

Could you post a pic of the HQ and Platform together?

Personally, I'd be cautious about spraying it all blue. That might be overkill, and it takes the right shade of blue to look appropriately "Cobra". It would give the whole base a dark look, and that might obscure details. Grey is a perfectly OK color for Cobra too, just accent it with the right red and blue and it might look better than if it were all blue.
