I have to say that I have no complaints so far as costumes are concerned this time around. With Rise of Cobra I was so annoyed by the generic black body armor and those frickin' Iron Man wannabe suits. This time it just works and every character looks great.

The posters are nice and all, but I have to admit, I'm a bit underwhelmed by a lot of the movie promotion so far. Cobra Commander looks REALLY PLAIN in that poster. I do think the Lady Jaye and Storm Shadow poster is a good way to get the women interested in seeing it, though.

I like them. They've done a good job of putting out a ton of pictures and posters for this film. Actually, it's really too much. I find myself intentionally avoiding any articles or interviews about the movie. But it's a good sign that the studio is happy with the movie and getting the awareness of it up.

I do agree that the posters for Rise of Cobra were exceptional though. At least the one-sheets that they had for sale. I even had to buy the Snake Eyes one. Those black and white promo ones were not as good as these 9 for Retaliation.

All of these look great! Even the Duke poster...banking on his climbing box office draw from 21 Jump Street, but whatever -- it makes sense from a marketing standpoint. I'd probably get the figure if that was the image they used instead of generic universal card art.

I have to admit, I didn't think I would like him as Flint at first, and while he's still not how I invision Flint I have to admit that poster is pretty much pure awesome. We better get a screen accurate Flint like that, I can always put the wave 2 beret head on him. Flint is the best! Yo Joe!

In the Sunbow cartoon Flint wore his beret even on vacation in his civilian clothes. It's like Bazooka without his jersey, Destro without his helmet, or Quick Kick wearing shoes. It just doesn't happen.

Why the f**K can't we get a figure of this?
That piece of $#!+ mint green Flint with the Duke mold and a "BERET", is going to peg warm badly. It's going to be worst than the '07 Buzzer, '08 Wildbill and the all might Arctic Destro.

The excuse of the movie being moved up is total crap. The movie got moved up 2 months, TWO MONTHS! Would that really give Hasbro enough time to make movie accurate figures?
ROC Movie= FAILURE
ROC Toyline= Decent
Retaliation Movie= better than ROC
Retaliation Toyline= colossal F*** UP!

The poster looks great. Cobra Commander and Roadblock's are the best(While Jinx is the hottest). While the Bruce Willis one looks photoshopped.
Now if the would do a Firefly(mask or no mask?)
My idea would be to have some posters with just the Cobra symbol or maybe a pic of the White House with the Cobra flags on it. Or something symbolizing Cobra occupation or Cobra in charge. Something that will make people look at it and go "What's that all about?"
