Looks good actually! Might change his webgear and wished his outfit color would be slightly darker but cool none the less! I really dig those forearm sculpts as well as the articulated wrists. Hope they use these parts again in the future!

I opted for the cheapest uk shipping... which is still horrendously overpriced. I'm chuffed to bits that he's arrived.

First fig I've opened in ages, and he doesn't disappoint. The backpack is kind of cumbersome, but with jiggling sits ok, and there's a little slot in the centre to hold his torch... strapping on the backpack to hold 'stuffs' but can't see how anything would fit. Missile Launcher is nice. Pistol and Machette don't really have anywhere to go. Helmet is a good fit, and the face and headsculpt are great.

Not sure about the 4 leafed clover patch - mine looks a little faded.

Overall though (griping aside) he's a great figure. Well worth my club subscription!

I wish they had used a different torso that one is way to big for the web gear. His legs look too small and his shoulders are to broad. Th dusty/pit commando or ROC desert ambush duke torsos would have been so much better.

I find the shipping costs are a little high with the club, but if you want to know that you're ging to get it, order from the club - but order early!

They haven't shipped all the figures (i.e. they weren't all shipped on the same day). They started shipping them. It's possible they started with international orders or it could just be random how they are doing it. I'm sure we'll see some US sightings soon.

No, it doesn't. That has always been the norm. And that was still the deadline for the "free" figure. They always put any extras up in the store for purchase, but after last year it seems they're not going to put them up until after the deadline now. To get the store one, you would have to first buy a membership, then pay additionally to buy the figure.

The "hard deadline" was simply for those that wanted to be guaranteed a Footloose figure, without paying more for it. As we seen last year, there is no guarantee you will be able to get one from the Store.

My guess is that they sent out the international ones first so that they would all be hitting around the same time. I expect most of the people in the US will get their's within the next week.

You might have better luck, or atleast cheaper luck picking up one of the o-ring comic packs from back around 2004/05/06. Check on yojoe.com, but it seems like nearly every set had atleast one classic vietnam era M-16 in it.

I had the same issue. I just cut a little sliver of a rubber band and put it in where the metal ball is. Now it is nice and tight.

Y'know, re-reading the filecard for Footloose I suddenly realized what a subtle "take that" it is to Hasbro, assuming Mr. Hama wrote it.

As I recall, the story was when Footloose was introduced to Mr. Hama, Larry's comment was, "The team already has an infantryman, his name is Grunt. Why not just make this guy an updated version of Grunt?" Larry at the time basically envisioned that the team wasn't supposed to be that big. Obviously, being somewhat naive in the ways of marketing toys at the time (IE "make more characters so you can sell more characters"), Larry was swiftly edumacated. But now when you read Footloose's filecard and get to the part where he has the epiphany about the "randomness of his existence" it becomes a whole heck of a lot funnier.

Though I also find it amusing that in a way Larry's suggestion was prophetic, because eventually they DID of course start "updating" characters as they went along.

Actually this is a really good figure, my brother got his today and I was really impressed actually it is a far better figure than Dial Tone was, I wasn't crazy about DT's head but overall better figure.

The arms and head are sculpted in a skin-tone color that is always a plus. I really hate painted heads and hands, the paint tends to glop and run, and kudos to Hasbro for the change on the wrists.

I live in Canada, and my newsletter has been consistantly late, and I am worried my figure will be too. On the last newsletter I received (March), the province & postal code were missing from my mailing address. This is the equivalent of the state and zipcode missing from a US mailing address......I am actually surprised that it even reached me. eBay buyers tend to be stupid people who don't spend 5 mins googling something for better info. I've seen the Adventure Team Commander/Venom set broken up and listed on eBay many times now. People will bid more money than it costs to buy the full set just for Venom at times because they didn't look up more info on it. And with tax refunds coming in, everything on eBay is more expensive in general because people have extra cash to burn.

I agree considering comic books are about $4 each average. Some may say the magazine sucks but I don't think it's half that mad myself. You multiply the magazine by 12 and get $48 for the year. So I think $44 bucks to be a club member is a pretty good deal. Not only do you get the magazine, free figure, but you also get officer club pricing on all the Joe Con box sets and exclusives.

This is one of the best looking figures I think the club has ever produced and as far as I can tell it is far better than any of the movie figures that are comming out.

More than likely they shipped figures out to the people that live the furthest away first and worked their way closer, at least if they were smart they would. This way everyone would get them relatively at the same time, or around 1 week.

I think there seems to be panicing ALL the time with this sort of thing. Be lucky it is just a once a year thing. I collect MOTUC and people panic like this EVERY MONTH!
