Well, this is too late to help me, since i already blew my wad on Ebay picking up Renegades Storm Shadow, but I know there's a lot of folks on here stressing 'cause they don't have one...this should help 'em out.

Or...WILL it? This is a four-pack, after all, and being such, I wonder if the price will approach what the single carded SS fetches currently on Ebay. Granted, you're getting an extra three figures in the deal, but two are ones currently choking pegs at retail (and thus, whoever's wanted them will likely already have them) and the other is the same figure repainted (which, depending on how much effort is put into it and the accessories included, could be cool or lame).

Time will tell, but I'm glad Hasbro's at least trying to get more SS's out there for people. That's a good thing.

I was fortunate and found Storm Shadow at retail and I got the rest of the retail release figures as well but, this is good news for those could not get the Storm Shadow.
I will get this pack just for the Red Ninja Viper- I was planning on troop building the Retaliation version but, this one will make a nice variation! This pack is good news all around.

For those asking about Roadblock, a figure like him which would require a substantial amount of new tooling is viable for a 7 pack where the costs of tooling him are seemingly off set by the inclusion of repaints in the pack, if that makes any sense.

Why a picture on a box needs to match whats inside the box 100% is not always the case these days. We can tell from the Black CC figure on ebay (same as the one in this case) that is a strait up repaint of the single carded Blue CC. So the card art does not match that figure at all. All of the ninjas aside from storm shadow and Kamakura are using the Renegades storm shadow body with some slight modifications, so it stands to reason that this figure will look either like those ninjas or kamakura. No mysteries here, its pretty obvious. Not like they ran out and made a brand new specific mold for a generic ninja viper lol...

I think I'd be sold on this pack if they gave SS bare arms, and they tweaked Duke by coloring his vest khaki and putting a removable bandolier over the vest (as an ARAH touch). THe vest just looks more interesting with a bandolier (I've got a 25th one on my Ren Duke, but he could use a better fitting, purpose-made one).

You know, I recently got a Resolute Roadblock, and he's so great that I'm not too upset about not having a Renegades RB...though not having a Renegades Baroness, or Destro with that great mask, or Bludd, continues to irk me.

I was going to get this pack just for the Red Ninja Viper and sell off the rest as I thought they would reissues of the retail versions but, the new Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are a nice variation from what I have collected already so, I will keep them too. Well, the artwork is pretty old by now, and since he didn't look that way in season 1 and it only stands to reason you know? It looks like there are some Retaliatin parts used. Probably hands, lower legs, and feet. Duke looks like he is the only figure without rocker ankles and Retaliation parts.

Yes. If those are added in, they are almost on par with the most articulated Marvel Universe figures. Definitely adds to poseability and articulation too, they're some of the only major points of articulation missing from modern small scale Joes, that and double jointed elbows(which I'm fine with them omitting).

It does make sense in a way though, as a compromise. The cost of new tooling is off set by the inclusion of repaint/kitbashes and very simple packaging. I for one like this packaging because the weapons will be easier to remove. Plus it's an exclusive.

I'm not sure what I'd prefer a trenchcoat to be made of--those cloth ones on SW figures can look pretty strange and puffy (from what I've seen, I don't collect them)...all I know is, I don't like having leg articulation seriously obstructed. It's one of my top pet peeves I suppose, along with figures that have trouble standing and hands that pop off easily.

To me, it kind of looks like this SE's coat is pretty flexible. Doesn't it appear to be folding over his right leg somewhat?

BTW, I like that figure in you picture. Interesting choice of weaponry. :)

That trench coat looks like Nick Fury's coat which was a little piece of pleather.

I think the first Renny SS was not actually a Renegades SS but they had already been working on a base ninja figure for all of the different ninja troop builders and went with those instead. The real Renny SS was a little behind the other in development schedule and probably got shelved because of that. If it is indeed a new hip joint, then that does make sense why they didn't just can it completely.

Yup, I think this is a major upgrade to Duke and I'm very excited for it, as Ren Duke turned out to be a solid, quality figure IMO, even with the skinny forearms, bulbous hands and inaccurate colors. Now he gets Law's forearms/hands, toon accurate colors (which are also much closer to ARAH) and bulkier pants which balance well with the bulk of his torso.

Frankly, this entire set has gotten me more excited than most of what's been revealed in the Retaliation line so far.

SO here's a close up of SE and Duke as well. The SE image is frustrating huh. Wouldn't it be nice is the trenchcoat were flexible? I do not like stiff restrictive ones.

Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part and my eyes need to be checked, but it looks like the Red Ninja and Snake Eyes might have thigh swivels, not seen on small scale Joes since 2002 Firefly and the last wave of BTR!
