Like most of wave 5 Snow Job is an all new mold. There are only a few differences between this version and the original Snow Job and only one of them is bad. The good differences include a removable jacket hood and goggles. When you remove both of these you can see Snow Job's face but the rest of the head is molded to look like a skin tight cap covering his head. The goggles are clear now unlike the blacked out look of the originals. The bad change is the addition of a skirt to make the jacket look longer. This is more aesthetically pleasing but hinders the leg movement more than any wide crotch could hope to. I think either making the skirt shorter or just scrapping it all together for a belt would work a lot better, also the idea of just a belt would look just like the cartoon version of Snow Job. On his legs, Snow Job has a few detail surprises from the Hasbro team. The holster on his right leg has soft plastic flap that makes it look like the gun is securely latched into the holster but allows you to take it out. The holster also has a small "Adventure Team" logo from the 1970's GI Joe. On the left leg we see a black canister, a closer look reveals that canister to be none other than a 3 ¾" scaled Pocket Patrol Pack that many of us carried Joes around in during the 80's. All the other accessories look just like the originals, but with tweaks to allow the pegs and holes to work with the new 25th construction style. The Ski poles and Skis can still be stored on the backpack. Snow Job comes with a removable Hood, Rifle, two Skis, Backpack, two Ski Poles, removable Goggles, Pistol and a GI Joe Stand.

This is a great figure with the one drawback of the jacket skirt. The new additional features to this figure make up for that one flaw though. Sure he can only be used mainly in snow themed dios, but Snow Job is still worth the purchase.

Figure Rating: 9 out of 10

I just bought and opened a revision the other day. One of my all time favorite figs and one of the better remakes. Other than not being to happy with the hood coving his face id give it a 9 of 10 also.

one of the best figures in the line IMO. Great new sculpt that was re-used with great success (in most cases), like Wild Weasle. The accessories is what really made this figure though, one of the best kits in the line up.

I agree, this is one of the best figures in the line, and one of the few base figures that all the repaints look damn good too. As WW it is great, as BBQ its pretty good, not great but pretty good, same with the Fire Viper in the desert pack.

Also, a quick cut on the sides of the skirt gains some extra movement in the legs.

Thanks for the review. Snow Job is the one Joe I haven't spotted in retail yet. Still looking for the revision one for my second chance at his guy.

While I was collecting the 25th line, I only bought one of each figure to keep carded so that I could mount them on my wall.

Snow Job was one of the first figures that I bought two of just so I could open him. Definitely an awesome release! Wave 5 was chock full of win for me.

Great review, Shogi!

Snow Job & Torpedo are probably the two most underrated figures in the whole line per the reasons listed in the review...nice work, Shogi...

I liked this figure, but a gentle breeze of air will knock the skis out of his backpack or his rifle out of his hand. I give it a 8 out of 10.

The skirting is a little annoying. Other than that, they knocked the ball out of the park on this one.

I love him. Part of that has to do with the fact that he looks like my friend Ian:

So I have a mini Ian sitting on my desk at work. How awesome.

Yeah, he and Torpedo are great figures, the only drawbacks for me for the both of them is that they look out of place as they're more "mission specific" guys.

Snowjob is constantly battling the lone Snow Serpent for territory of the white areas of my desk.

The only real problem I have with the figure is a big one for me. His head is jacked up. It's molded small to fit his goggles, I guess, but when you take off his hood and his goggles he looks ridiculous. Why not a normal sized head and bigger goggles?

i love snow job too...10/10.....however, despite the perfect score i do have an issue with him.

he cannot be posed like a skier. i dont ski, but when i see people i pics skiing, its usually very low to the ground, very kinetic. you cannot achieve that with snow job.
so what happens is...
i can display him geared up, standing straight up, since he cannot get low....or....
i can display him geared down, standing straight up.

if i couldve gotten that action pose i wanted, idve bought two of him...much like i did with torpedo.

but fav as a child, fav as a child now.

Thanks for the review. I haven't opened mine and I might actually just pick up a 2nd to open instead.

SJ is definitely one of my all time favorites from my childhood. He was the very first GI Joe figure that I got. He was a gift from my parents. I saw him at a department store one day when out shopping with my parents and pointed to him and said that is what I want for xmas. Lots of accessories, skiis, winter gear. Low and behold, the following xmas, I tore open a gift under the tree and there he was.

Lots of nostalgia on this one for me and what a great re-make!

Funny, I just picked up a reissue yesterday just because my MOC one was taunting me to open him!

I am pleased with the figure, as I had always wanted him when I was a child. Though I'd give it 8/10 because posability is an issue and loses big marks on me for that.

Best part of the figure are his removable goggles. That one accessory totally makes the figure for me. Much like Torpedo's removable diving mask. Very sweet.

I never liked his head so I swapped it with Rock n' Roll's and painted it orange-ish. I think it looks much better...

He's one of the best of the line.
Stand out figures like Snow Job, SE '89, & Para-Viper, the "extra gear" guys are always a pleasure to open.
Plus I love the subtle colors they used on Snow Job & all the fan nods with his sculpted extras!!

excellent review. i never had this one as a kid, but my friend did. couldn't take this one (25th) off my desk for over a month! haha! a little bummed you can't pose him to ski. but, definitely worth the effort it took me to find him retail. amazing detail on some of these 25th figures.
