I love the sword and the gun! I know I'll definitely pre-order them, hope they make it to retail in decent numbers as well. I can so see a black Shadow Guard repaint, too.

The Night Viper looks better also. I do think it looks more like a 25th product but that doesn't trouble me at all.

That Night Viper is sweet! The Crimson Guardsman is great too.

I'm torn about the Crimson Guard: Do I want to army build it or use it as a COBRA general/specific character?

How many I can obtain relatively easily may make that decision for me.

The Night Viper, though...uhhh, I want at least eight. If not more.

I've lost count of how many Technos I bought. I pre-ordered all I really wanted and then, well, I've grabbed ones I've seen here and there.

However, depending on how things go, by the time we get to that wave Christmas time may be upon us and that may be the heavily-ordered case, like the 30th Wave 1/Wave 2 case that drenched retail in the winter months. Who can say?

I love Wave 1 Retaliation, though...I'm so fond of the trooper and the Red Ninja I don't know how many I want and plan to just get 'em 'til the Voices tell me I've had enough.

I see on the Night Viper that the Cobra Shock Trooper body is still getting some use. Well, at least the torso/arms are...not sure if those legs are new or not. Looks real good, though.

However, I do hope they give the retail version of NV different webgear. Unless I'm mistaken, the gear he's wearing in the pics is from the RoC MARS Officer. I wasn't wild about it then, and I'm not wild about it now. It just looks loose, like it could fall off his shoulders at any time. It actually looks better on him than it did on the MARS Officer, but I'd still prefer something else.

Not a huge deal, though...he still looks awesome. I really love that his helmet is removable, and that sniper rifle is f'in sweet.

And in all honesty, I am not putting my hopes in getting any of them because they will either never come out or they will never be seen on store shelves due to all of the clutter from Wave 3.

Not sure about the cg head. It looks smooshed or something and the helmet should be removable. I wouldn't mind seeing them get a new backpack either. I never really got the point of the cg's backpack. These are really minor quibbles. I would army build both of those

I don't care for the Crimson Guard all that much but I want that Night Viper.

Two issues with the Crimson Guard. There's too much forehead section of his helmet and not enough face. The proportions are off.

He isn't regal enough. This is an elite guard. With that blunky vest he just looks like another heavy shock trooper but in red.

I liked the Crimson Neo-Vipers, those were really cool. The tip of this assault rifle they came with, including this CG, is prone to breakage.

ocd can be a bitch. it makes me want to army build most cobras to 8, but it can also be a blessing. for example because of my current squad of 25th cg, ii probably wont buy this unless it looks much better in hand, and i STOPPED buying techno-vipers at 8. i love those guys so much i could have bought all of them. :)

Dude I'm with ya, 6 to 8 Cobra troops per character. And, as far as Technos go, I buy everyone I see, can't help myself......collecting little plastic men sho is fun yo! :)

Definate 'NO!' to the Siegie. His helmet brim is too low... makes him look like Fred Scuttle, and overall he looks too 'combat ready' for the essentially 'undercover' Crimson Guard.
No surprises from the Night Viper... not bad.

I like them both, especially the Crimson Guard. He looks more battle-ready than the original and previous ones, which always had a ceremonial uniform feel to me.

Heh, I didn't see what Crimson Rage just wrote before I posted. Different strokes I guess. I will just add that I like the classic stuff best overall, but I have that. I'd like some change now and again too.

I'm not sold on the CG. I'll definitely be getting at least one since I'm going to preorder the case to make sure I get some Night Vipers, but the CG just has some problems for me.
For one, I don't love the head. Like some people have said, it looks kind of squished.
Secondly, and more importantly, I really have never had any desire for a more battle ready Crimson Guard. To me they are what their name implies...guards. They are the Cobra equivalent to the British Palace Guards with the huge hats. They just aren't guys that go rushing into battle, so I just don't really need a CG with a tactical vest.

I need a lot of Night Vipers though. He was always a favorite, and this version looks pretty decent. I love the head, and the body is ok, but not great. He really does look like a 25th Anniversary figure. He's good and I'm excited for him, but he doesn't quite compare to the best the 30th Anniversary line had to offer.

Crimson Guard? Meh. Like others have stated, he looks too battle-ready. I've had a real turn-around on the CG over the last few years. I loved the original in RAH. However, as an adult, I realize that the figure doesn't make much sense. The CGs are supposed to be undercover and essentially not battle troops. Therefore, they really don't have a purpose in my collection. I'm just not a fan of any of the crimson stuff. I understand they're ceremonial, but I don't feel a need to have more than a couple CGs. And certainly not crimson vehicles.

The helmet design kinda reminds me of the Techo Viper. I may get three of these to use as CG Technos.

So much THIS.

That holster sucks major ass. It's so freakin' bulky the figure can't even put it's arm down when it's in the correct position (which it isn't, in these photos). I have that MARS officer and he came with one of those stupid nanomite handguns to put in the holster. Not a lot of other things fit too well in there.

I tried to use it for a custom and shaved a ton of the plastic off to make it lower profile. It's a few millimeters thick in some places! After it was all said and done, it was easier to just use a leg holster from a PoC/30th Cobra Trooper.

Is it obvious that I hate that webgear?

I wouold take this new one over the 25th CG as a shadow guard a million times over. People are complaining these are too tactical for regular CGs which would make more sense for them to be the combat squad they tried to make the standard shadow guard CGs into with all of those weapons and what not they had. These make great enforcer type CGs, not all of them will wear Dress Crimson uniforms everyday ya know lol...that ne whelm style is friggen awesome looking...reminds me of stuff from Ghost in the Shell...

I would really like this. I think the 25th molds should be in rotation along side the ROC POC molds. It would be more congruent with the vintage line.

I am getting tired of all these Cobra army builders especially when we still do not have "core characters" being represented.

I'm on board with these guys and will definitely build up a nice squad or two of both the siegie (great addition to POC line) and night viper. The one little nitpick I have is with the Night Viper's webgear...hated it on the roc figures although it does resemble arah to a point.

Personally, i find the new CG HORRIBLE.
Somehow the helmet looks retarded.... i hate the term, but it's what i feel. The arms don't match the rest of the 25th style sculpt. And those gnarled Alley Viper legs still look...gnarled.

The only think i like it's the vest with the pistol holster and sword.

They look good, the one bad thing is that the NV for some unknown reason has his neck uncovered. But that can easily be painted black with some markers.
