It's here! It's our 50th episode!! This week we are joined by Marvel's Arune Singh and former GI Joe writer for Devil's Due, Brandon Jerwa. Brandon tells us his vision of how the adventures of GI Joe would unfold in the DDP universe. Learn more about his favorite characters, how Wraith came to be, and which October Guard is Brandon modeled after. Not only do we talk about Joe with Brandon, but we hear about his experiences on the Highlander and Battlestar Galatica properties. Brandon also tells us about his new project, Shooter, set to launch April 19th. Don't miss it! Next we talked to Arune some more about the next couple of weeks which will be HUGE for Marvel, including the Avengers v. X-Men epic cross over title AND how could we forget about Avengers appearing in your favorite cineplex on May 4th. In the second half, we listen to your voicemail, which included some real zingers that you won't want to miss! All this plus your listener mail, GOOD news from the GIJCC's concerning their New Orleans con set and upcoming release dates from DIC. Two more to go until we reach on year, but enjoy this brief stop at 50, a milestone number in its own right...plus we get a message from a special friend of the program that couldn't make us prouder to be a part of this hobby! Chuck even sings, so download and listen now!

Again, I tried to check these podcasts out, I was interested in the info in the summary, the origins of wraith and such. However, this show has way too much jawjacking. I'd much rather the guys shoot the bull before hitting the record button, and also cut out the profanity. Course, it's their podcast, that's just what would make it worth my time.

Yeah, folks who listen to the show will quickly find out that the hosts all get along pretty well and are comfortable with each other, which results in a lot of friendly banter throughout the show.

Many of our listeners cite this as a reason they love the show, but we understand that format isn't for everyone.

Thanks for giving it a shot.

And C.I.A.D., thanks a ton for the front page action, man. Very cool of you!

I tend to agree (although I don't mind the profanity), I did skip a good chunk of the introduction and skipped most of the stuff after the interview with Brandon.

But anyway, congrats for reaching 50 episodes!

The podcast lulls me to sleep then I have to rewind to the "good parts" with the interviews etc.
perhaps if there was a breakdown by time mark in the show notes?
such as:
interview with Hama begins at 40:30 second mark
discussion about Renegades Dollar store figures begins at 1:22 minute mark etc.
every week I look at the total minutes and give a heavy sigh because I know it will be "nap time" soon and I will have to keep rewinding.
plus I work in a warehouse so I get enough of that brand of talk every day.

What profanity? All of it gets bleeped. If that offends ya - don't know what to tell ya.

I thought the format was pretty well established so don't think the show opening small talk should not surprise anyone now. As Justin said, all of the hosts and most of the guests are familiar with each other so there is some chemistry there that means we don't always have to be about GI Joe every single second. We don't want to broadcast a lecture.

We will look into trying to improve the show notes or provide chapter stops in the recording. Until then, bear with us. We aren't pro's and we do this for fun. If I put any more work in to each episode, someone is going to have to start paying me with free stuff...so, who's payin'?

I don't know what some of these nay-sayers are talking about. As far as Joe (or any) podcasts, WOJM is the best. Between the silky baritone voices of Justin and Mike, and whatever one would describe Chucks voice as, I can't get enough. Informative, clean (I've never heard any swearing), and well structured, keep them coming guys.

Want to hear a mess of a podcast, check out General Geekery, Ummm, Ummm, Uhhhh, Ummmm. Cough, cough, chirp, chirp. That podcast will either blow out your speakers or bore you to death.

WOJM rules!

Thanks for listening!

One thing I learned since starting the show with the other guys is that podcasting is a challenge. It's not easy to put yourself out there. It took us 15 episodes before we found our stride, another 15 or so to hammer out the sound and 20 episodes more later, we're STILL working on getting everything to run smoothly. This proves once again that no body is perfect. As long as everyone is having fun, in the end, that is all that matters. :)

I do like the podcast oh believe me! because where else are you going to get interviews with Joelebrities? tha's right... nowhere. To have Jon M Chu pipe in? wow thats an achievement right there that he even knows it exists(to be fair Justin does tweet Chu a bit).
There are way more positives than negatives regarding the podcast.
all of which were pretty well covered in the survey says episode.
Everything gets better with age and wisdom so here is to the next episode.
keep it up keep improving.
