how will zartan look when he isn't pretending to be President?

We know Jonathan Pryce is playing Zartan when he is disguised as the President but Arnold Vosloo is also listed on imdb. Do you think Jon Chu will have Vosloo look as he did in ROC (just kinda like a regular guy in a suit) or will he have face paint/hood/glowing eyes/etc?

Since they hired Vosloo, I would imagine they will use him at some level. I can't recall him ever being shown "normal" after the injection - but I could be wrong. I would guess based on the figure that he will have some "Zartan" qualities about him - sunlight bothers him (thus the hood), glowing eyes, and perhaps the infamous DDP "skin condition" that was slowly killing him.

Not confirmed whether figure matches movie or not. I am betting we will see zartan out of disguise but will it match the figure? Time will tell.

Based solely on the figure, I betting Zartan will be mutant like because of the nanomites, However this may give him the ability to change at will which would be awesome.

Seeing as though none of the other wave one figures are accurate to the movie, I would have to say that the Zartan isn't either. IMDB isn't always the most reliable place for this kind of stuff, so I wouldn't be all that surprised if Vosloo isn't even in the movie, and if he is, I kind of doubt he will be in anything matching his original look.

The figure is Renegades Zartan, I bet he is not going to look like that in the movie, essentially offscreen character. Its too against the grain for what he is in ROC and Retaliation. Really? A troll like human running around changing color with green glowing eyes? I dont think Jon Chu would go there...if anything it will be a quick cameo....theres that one scene with Pryce still as the president standing in his disguise in a cobra area with troopers and Firefly...when he is alone with them why does he need to still be disguised as the POTUS? That dosent make any sense

I hope they come up with a way to remove the nanomites from him so he can loose the POTUS look. I bet by the end of the movie when the Joes win and kick him out of the white house, cobra changes him back to Zartan and we see the standard vosloo like he appeared in ROC...just a master of desguise without all of the funky 80s jive going on. He didnt even show active transformation in ROC, it was sorta permament without the nanomite injection machine to reprogram the nanomites to facially reconstitute his original look.

I seriously doubt he'll look anything like that figure. It'd be great if he did, but somehow I get the feeling that Zartan is an "off camera" design. Although, dark circles around the eyes and some kind of hood aren't entirely out of the question at some point.

Well the way Zartan took the look of the president was with nanomites so they're in Retaliation. It's just a question of if they will acknowledge that.

My hope is Zartan changes into a Joe and infiltrates the team while disguised as that member. I'll see the movie everyday it's in theaters if Zartan disguises himself as Ripcord. Long love Marlon Wayans!

At the moment, my preferred Zartan origin is the one seen in IDW's G.I.*Joe Origins, wherein "Emil Zartan" was originally a street "urchin" and thief, who gets nabbed by the cops, and when asked for his name, looks around and responds "Zartan!" after seeing a poster on a wall advertising a movie about a fictional outlaw named Zartan, who wears a hood and a black mask over his eyes. The character seems to have been a riff on Zorro.

So, that's where the hood and tatooed "mask" come from, along with the name Zartan, in IDW's version of G.I.*Joe... young Emil was copying a fictional character. Works for me. :)
