C2E2's retailer summit revealed that a number of IDW titles will be streamlined and Joe is among them.

Joe will go down to one title with mini-series support.
I think the main title will remain, Snake Eyes will get canceled and Cobra will become a series of mini-series.
Joe is the strongest seller of the three even though Cobra has the most critical acclaim.
I also think Cobra works better as a mini-series.

I wonder if ARAH will continue and where Robert Atkins will land.
I'm disappointed by this. I really enjoyed each book on it's own merits and loved seeing a new Joe book practically every week.

I liked Joe and Cobra, the 3rd book was always just meh and felt out of place.
I'm sure Atkins will be kept busy.

I'm sure Atkins will be kept busy.
I hope so. He really is the definitive Joe artist to me. I'm sure he has his own artistic ambitions he wants to fulfill, but I'd hate to see him leave the Joe books completely.
I don't like it. I was diggin' getting three books a month...

Don't panic just yet. I'm getting clarification on just what it means.

No need to panic.

Just as long the main G.I. Joe title is not as boring as the Vol: 1 issues.
Still want to know what's going to happen with ARAH.

That's good news for people who were looking to get in on the Joe books but were overwhelmed by 3 titles and having missed a few months. Streamlining the Trades is a good idea, especially where big story arcs like the Cobra Civil War were concerned. Here's to hoping that none of the Joe books end up getting axed. I think all the Joe books really need are a more uniform design guide and some consistent art for each book.

I've gotten burned out on the titles, honestly. I stopped buying everything except for ARAH after Cobra Command finished, and even that was a slog to get through. I have #177, but haven't read it yet, but the last couple of issues have been meh.
Ok, I have to slightly recant my statement....#177 was fun. I forgot that Maine is part of the storyline, too, which gets some points from me.
