I don't think they are all actually being put in the mail today. I envision that they received the figures and in between getting the next magazine ready, getting their shit secured and getting ready for Con they will start stuffing boxes and mailing them out.

Also, that isn't just sand.. it's the official GI Joe Collectors Club Desert Ops. diorama sand. It's endorsed by Hasbro so it's an official accessory.

It's interesting that they were able to start shipping so soon after the cut off period for sign-ups. They must have just ordered extra with the intention to sell them on the store. There's no way they put in their order last month and already have them in hand, is there?

I bet they went off the Dial-Tone numbers and added 10% or something. With the plans to card some extras, plus the foul up from last year, I think they were probably confident in ordering some overages. And I kinda remember them saying that the order was going to be put in sometime in December (to accommodate the carded extras).

I decided that this figure, to me, wasn't worth the hassle or $42.

And I'm sure it will up in value over time but I would only buy it to open it and have it in my collection, not to scalp it in the future. But congrats to you guys who will get the figure and give him the loving home he deserves.
