I am currently replacing the missing parts on my vehicles and on the general mobile command center on the left side front where the two wheels go the prongs have broke that hold the wheels. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or such on what would be the best way to go about fixing this?

Two-stage epoxy will really well.

Find a donor General shell. Cut off the Broken stump wheel peg. Drill a hole the same size as the wheel peg.

From the Donor General, cut an unbroken wheel peg, cut it so you have a flat square base on the bottom of the Peg. Fit the new peg through the hole in your general body, us the square base on your peg to glue it inplace. The little bit you loose in leght of peg souldn't matter Too much.

Thanks guys for all the tips looks like I either have to find a donor general shell or find some to glue there to replace the prongs.

The General Uses the same wheels as the Rolling Thunder and Cobra Detonator... If you can't find a donor General, those could be other options.

I did this with a Rolling Thunder. I cut off a peg from a General shell and cut matching locking shapes to fit the new paeg onto the trimmed stump and epoxied it together and sanded it down. Worked like a charm and the peg is still the right length.

In fact I have another RT to fix. I will prolly use some styrene sheets and epoxy to create a new peg since I cant get my hands on a donor.

Let me check my junk bins...prolly have a RT shell with an unbroken wheel post.... I'll hack it off if you want to cover postage in a small flatrate box.

Nah, I am doing this for a commission, I would have to pass the charges on and I will have to do work on it either way. Trying to keep it as cheap as possible for the guy. He already has to cover all the parts I scrounged up, but thanks!! it will be a nice little experiment to build a peg out of something else, fingers crossed!!
