I see them going for like 1,200 dollars BEFORE the 300 dollar shipping prices. i mean, i can get every 82 through 94 figures and a ton of vehicles for that price. is this 1 piece worth that much? i dont know if i could bring myself to pay that much for a display piece. i wanna hear from as many people on this as possible.

$1200 is on the high end, even for a complete one.

I think somewhere around $800-900 for a COMPLETE one is a lot more realistic, and I am sure if you picked up a non-complete one and then redid the stickers and cleaned it up, maybe even w/ some reproduction hard to get parts, you could come in a lot lower.

Craig's list seems to be where most have the best luck w/ getting them, not to mention places like here on the 'Tank too.

I am considering getting one, w/ a budget of a non-complete one in the $300 range. I figure after cleaning it up and new stickers from Cobra stickers and what not, I'd be in the $500 or so range.

I'd use that as a realistic budget for a LOCAL find. Shipping is always going to be a factor, but do NOT make a deal for one that is in Timbuktu either. :)

I got mine for around $300. Wasn't complete, but wasn't in bad condition at all. I plan on putting some work into it someday when I have time to complete it. That might become a little costly given the scarcity of some of the pieces.

That being said, I think its worth having, but that's my opinion. The thing is HUGE but as we all know Hasbro is never going to make something like that again and it can be a hell of a great thing to showcase for your collection.

$1200 is a bit high unless the thing is 100% complete and in near pristine condition. Kokomo Toys has one that is in really nice condition (not complete, I think around 80-90% maybe) and they are asking last I checked $700 for that. So hopefully that puts in perspective where the price should be.

I have seen MIB with the original tape on the ends still for $1,200...or less, so I'd say $1,200 + $300 s/h = no thanks.

Although, the prices of them have been rising the past couple of months on ebay, maybe due to that tv show that was about vintage 1980's toys being retirement investments, lol

I am planing on going after one soon...It is the center piece of any collection. IMO It is the one thats worth it! The Terror Drome is cool as is the GI Joe HQ but overall the Flagg has a wow factor!

No, the price will go down you should not pay more then 500-600. If you part one together you should be able to cut you cost in half.

$800 and some change plus $200 shipping but had to pay a little extra for shipping because military mail wouldn't take it because of the size. It's still MIB from the original owner but sitting at my parents house. Is it worth it? I would say it depends on your income and if you really want it or not. When I get back to the states I plan on getting another and keeping the one I have in the box.

By staying away from ebay and such and just using the BST thread here and at YoJoe.com I was able to score my very first flag recently. It was in great shape and going by the parts list on YoJoe...I is pretty darn complete probably about 95ish percent. With shipping I was able to get it done for 550. Stick with the Joe Community. There are alot of reasonable collectors that get their hands on full collections and such and will break them up and offer another joe nut a better deal. Just need to be patient. i also had put up a craigslist ad in my area and the local area I was willing to drive to. I got a bit of spam offers, but i did receive a couple of offers that were good, I already had my flagg by then though.

I would say it was totally worth it, for that price. At $1200 no way.

I sell them 85 percent complete at our store for $500.00 out the door. you don't get deck clips or keel haul. but I often have the radio and mast cap. I believe I got 2 ready to go as we speak. The defiant on the other hand is far more rare and will end up normally costing more to complete IMO. I personally have 3 of both. Never have I ever paid over $150.00 for any of them. Just hunted and waited on Craigslist over the past 6 years. And, not to be rude, but I really don't think you can get the ARAH line of figures 82-94 sans a flagg for $1200.00.

Absolutely impossible to get the entire 82-94 ARAH line for $1,200. Gold Head Steel Brigade alone blows that budget with a $300-400 price tag. I think closer to $5K for the entire set mint and complete.

I had a Mod at yojoe at the time, clean out his store and sold me his Flaggs x2 plus couple of extra decks and parts for around 330.00 shipped. I later just gave the decks away and kept the two flaggs ( which were only missing a couple of small things) to ,hopefully, pass on to my boys when they started to show interest. I could never have spent 1200 on one though, and if it came down to selling them, I would rather sell them to a Tanker or yojoer at a really cheap price knowing they would take care of it=)

"Every 82 through 94 figure and a ton of vehicles" for $1200? That sounds like a very good deal.

Too expensive... Got mine on Craigslist for $300 and no shipping (only missing a couple parts).

I waited a long time for the right deal, but the wait paid off.

To echo what everyone else is saying: I'd definitely wait for a better deal to come along. 1200.00 is ridiculous.

I'd only even consider paying $1200 for a complete, sealed MIB Flagg.

I've owned my 1st Flagg from my 12th birthday for over 25 years now and it was always >90% complete. I bought a second one 4 years ago for about $475 shipped that had everything except the microphone and fuel tanker. I got it off eBay, but I must admit it went lower because the seller didn't properly document all the HTF pieces it did have like the fantail railing, Y-pins, deck clips, mast cap, tow hook, etc. When you looked closely at the pics you could see all these items. So check those auctions closely. You can find gems.
