So I've been thinking, dangerous I know.
Would any of you Joe fans buy a book of GI JOE file cards? You know the back of the Joe packages that gave the bio of the figure. I think that a book of GI JOE file cards would be great to have in a collection. I'm I alone thinking this? Would you buy this? Its just basically reprinting the card backs of the toys. No new material just reprinting the same stuff we already have. If you like the idea of this let me know, and if you do what is the price you would pay? What years would you like to see represented in the book. For me I would want to see 1982-1986 and I would pay around $20 for it. What about you? Just curious.

I just go to Yojoe.com, but I don't really buy any paper books anymore.

I don't really care about the filecards. But a big beautiful book of card art is another story.

A coffee table sized book of the ARAH character and vehicle art would be cool.

God I would love that. The Moray, HAVOC and Devilfish box art is some powerful stuff to my nostalgic eyes.

I got almost all the file cards in nice albums. one joe< one cobra. I collect boxes as well, but I would agree 100% that a book (graphic novel size even) of the art would be of the most interest to me

Marvel's G.I. Joe Order Of Battle was basically that.

But no, not if it was just filecards.

Original box art, yes.

I'd be way more interested in a book of the card art with the filecard reprinted on the side or something

great idea of the card art and the box art. What if the book was coffee table size and included the artwork from the cards and the vehicles and filecards. I wonder if Hasbro would produce something like this?

I use Yojoe.com, but a nice book with file art and card info would be cool.

This. Of course a book of both would be welcomed as well.

Not for file cards only. They would have been a nice addition to those "Ultimate Guide" books though.

I still fully support the card art book... still...

I would buy a book of all file cards especially if it included every file card from 82 till present, but like just about everyone else I would prefer a coffee table book of box and card art.

Mid to late 90s, James Desimone (who used to run the CC before Fun Publications) did a book of file cards. I have one. It's black & white, though. I think he may have offered a color version. But it does have all file cards & variations known at the time (I think). Not sure if it goes all the way to 94, I'll have to dig it out and check. It's a great reference if you just like to know what was on the cards. Some of them are pretty good reads!!!

I would definitely buy a book of File Cards. It should include 82-94. Though I have a pretty complete collection of filecards, they are stored away with catalogs and trading cards. Having a easy to access reference piece would be sweet. I use Yojoe.com a lot, but some of the images are not the easiest to make out, and I may not always have access to the intenet.
I would pay $25-$35 for it.

Make it an ebook and I'd buy it.

I think if the book had the front of the card with the art on one page and the card art and bio on another I would buy it as a coffee table book. And mixed in with vehicle box art and blueprints and I wouldn't pass it up. For years 1982-1986 sounds good. Not more than $20.

Once I'm more settled I'm going to set up the filecards in a rolodex on my desk. It will be awesome.

Absolutely!

I might buy a book that has the file cards in it. Isn't that one book by Pablo Hidalgo sorta like a compendium of character bios? If I got to choose, I'd rather have all the character and vehicle art. Not too much reading to do when you get to look at the pictures.
