Wow, it has been an eternity since I last posted on the Tank.

Well anyway, let be tell ya'll about my delima.

So I've been struggling with depression for the past year or so. As a result of my depression, I've completely lost interest in a lot of my hobbies, including G.I. Joe collecting. I haven't bought a SINGLE Joe item in 6 or 7 months, and it scares me because Joe collecting was the biggest thing for me. I used buy Joes on a weekly, if not a daily basis, so there has been a HUGE change.

Believe me when I say that I really don't want to give up this hobby, so it is important that I find interest in it again before I start selling off the collection that I have worked so hard to gain.

So now I get to the point, how can I rekindle my interest in G.I. Joes? What do you do when you become bored of collecting?

If every fiber of your being refused to give up the hobby, then you would still have been buying some. Part of you didn't want to buy anymore and if you haven't gotten your interest rekindled, then it appears that you really don't want to.

Response is still the same.

If you wanted back into the hobby, you'd get back into the hobby.

Chances are that nothing new is serving to rekindle the fire so chances are that it won't happen.

I can't speak to your depression, except to say that you should find someone qualified to talk to who can help you work through it.

As for loss of interest to your hobby, maybe it is due, in part, to Hasbro not creating/releasing any figures or vehicles that caught your eye and made you think "gotta have"?
