View Full Version : ROC Collection worth 4 grand?
Hey Tankers, check it: Lot of GI Joe Rise of Cobra ROC Action Figures & Playsets Collection NEW MOC (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150791028475&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123)
Reckon it's worth $4,000 on a "Buy It Now" only?
I scanned through the list, but can't imagine that it's actually worth that much to anybody but an investment collector that'll never do anything but box it up and sit on it for 5 years, then try to sell it for twice what he paid.
Dunno... thoughts?

I wouldn't pay $500 for that...
Seems like a bit on the high side, eh?
Get the feeling it's a consignment house selling for some yobbo who was all, "Dunno... 4 grand? Haha!" and they took him seriously.
Don't think there'll be any takers...

That better come with a high retail hooker for $4g, or all three of Tiger's ex's that are doing the porn based on him.

I seen this yesterday and laughed my ass off. There's about 80 items. So at 4 grand that's roughly 50 bucks per item. I'm not even sure if any 1 item is worth 50 bucks...

It's not worth $4,000. Throw in some official ROC party packs with plates, hats, napkins, etc as a true collector would have and maybe we'll talk.
Some dude was selling 600 figures for $800 and even that was alot

wow. crap.
I've put in a question to the seller asking if they're actually serious and does their client/collector actually smell like all the crack he smokes or does he hide it with cologne.
Still waiting to hear back...

That is FAR from close to all the stuff released from the RoC line, not even close at all! What gets me the most is that they don't even have the M.A.R.S. 3 pack box set, hell, everyone has/had that! Even Amazon had them at like $3 a set! Burlington Coat Factory even had lots of them, not even 4 months ago!
I have every item released from the RoC line MIB/MOC including some items not released MIB/MOC and unreleased/cancelled loose figures and I wouldn't even ask $4,000 for all of them, it would be awesome if you could get that for them but unless you get some noob who thinks it's a great deal, they aren't going anywhere for $4K :)

Damn, I do need that MIB Joe Mech w/Kickstart though, maybe they'll take $3,999.99 for the lot?
hahahaha
See, I was thinking there needed to be some sort of offer I could make, but they still haven't gotten back to me about whether or not these toys came from a Crack Free home.
I mean, that's gotta be about the only reasonable explanation for the asking price.

I just made him an offer of $50.00. You think he'll take it? Probably not. I am curious what he'll say though.

If you get that lot for $50, that would be a pretty good deal in reallity even though most people don't want/like anything RoC.....although they are better than some of the Retaliation crap we will be getting that is back to 1980's Star Wars figures again :(

Really the only thing I would want is the Outpost Defender, Survaillence Port, and the Snake Trax ATV. Now that would be the only thing I would want out of that deal. The others I could just donate or put it up on the free stuff/pay it forward thread.

Did you mention that he should give up the crack habit? Because yeah, it'd be nice to make a deal, but not for the crackrock or a gat*.

Well, this morning I just recieved the email that he declined my $50 offer. So I made a $55 offer and he declined that as well. I should send him a message and ask him what's he smoking thinking he's going to get someone to pay $4000 for that stuff.

Did any of you ever consider that the seller might be from the future and the $4k he's asking for is based on the rate of inflation that exists in the year 3021?
Let's try not to judge until you've driven a mile in someone else's time machine.

Time machines don't travel in distance, just time. So technically you can't drive a mile in someone else's time machine. Maybe drive a century. While were on the subject, why in movies do they get in a time machine and go back like 3000 years and wind up in Rome? If the time machine is in California and you travel back 3000 years, you'll still be in the exact same spot in California, just 3000 years in the past.

Well, there's no telling with those crazy vortexes. Once you go through one of those there's no telling where you could wind up.

AND a "Best Offer" option too. So that $55 might still score a winner!

Creepy. Who is "hisstank" in this context? Reckon he's talking about this forum?
I'll offer $100 and tell him that you're just a cheapass and that I'm a "real" collector.

it's at $3000 asking price now and that is just completely ridiculous. I wouldn't pay $5 a figure as the ROC line was garbage and honestly I think that most of the stuff released was piss poor shit made by hasbro. I mean seriously the ROC line sucked a Fat One and this idiot is asking 3k for literally shit. You could piece that all together paying top dollar ebay prices + shipping and you wouldn't spend half that amount on everything. The most expensive piece in the lot is the PIT mobile HQ and thats worth $100 at the very absolute most. WTF is this guy thinking....what an idiot....I hope it doesn't sell! If it does it should be about $500 at the absolute most! What a Maroon!!! LMFAO ROFL!!!!
