Is there a way to strip powder coats?

Is there a way to strip powder coats without outsourcing to a body shop? I doubt they'd accept a die-cast model anyway.

In previous jobs the way we would strip a part that was powder coated was to burn it off in an industrial oven. I forget what temperature that you need to do it.

Nevermind: looks like you need to get it as hot as 1000+ degrees.

You might be surprised. I have a friend who got a body shop to paint a 1/6 Batmobile. Money talks, get it blasted...

sand blast. Thats what I used to do while my old ship was dry docked.
