Just a quick update about the Club Credit Card fraud fiasco. My card (as well as tons of others) was used to donate $1 to the Angelman Society in Illinois. I called them multiple times and got no response. I left them a few messages about my card being used fraudulently with their organization. Well I finally got a call from them today.
The women I spoke with was named Paula Evans. She runs the organization there and was unaware of where the donations were coming from. Her husband is the IT guy for the company and looked into the charges. They put a stop to them because they were suspicious but they had no idea about the fraud. After I contacted them, they looked into the donations. Apparently they don't get donations very often but when they do they are very large. So they noticed a sudden surge of donations coming from the same email address. Each donating is done with a name attached. Each name was ABC or XYZ. So there was no way for them to contact anyone about the donations. However they never put ther donations through to their foundation so all were eventually returned.
She called me back while I was typing this and told me her husband had given the info the the government because local authorities were refusing to act upon anything. He found out that the emails were coming from an IP address in Vietnam. Apparently it is the same ring that is responsible for hacking different websites around the world. There allegedly are warrants for the arrest of multiple people from the ring by the US government. However the odds of them being arrested are very slim. However the government does know who is responsible and working on apprehending them, not just for hacking the Club, but for multiple sites all over the world.
For more info, contact Paula Evans at info@cureangelman.org or call 1-630-852-3278 and leave a message she will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Please note that this information came from her and I'm only relaying what I was told. But after being hit by thousands of $1 donations her foundation decided to act with the information they had. She informed me her foundation works closely with the government and after the phantom donations they basically called in a favor to have it figured out.

After talking to her my biggest question was does the Club know this much? If they do then why haven't we heard about it? If they don't know then why not?

Lol, what does that even mean, lol? I know though, right? Yeah, you're like totally right my man, totally. Alls I know is, that movie Missing in Action was sick, and so was First Blood part 2, and it would be cool if those dudes went back there and taught those credit card thieves a lesson, you know? Lol, I'm kidding.

yeah local authorities wont touch anything that they cant pistol whip. There was an ATM fiasco out here a few years ago. Someone hacked an ATM service and they were steeling money out of the banks of everyone who had used the ATMs. I got maxed out on a saturday and was not to happy about it. The police refused to even take a report after it was on the news and people were told to report it. I was refunded by my bank, and it went federal. Not sure if they ever cought the guy, but he funneled alot of money to the Ukraine in a weekend. Odessa to be specific.

The Club is not an investigation entity, they have others working on that. We are on a need to know basis in this investigation, and all involved in the investigation do not feel that any of us "needs to know" not difficult to comprehend. Now, lets the investigators working the ropes on this case do what they do best.

Actually if anyone needs to know anything it's the people who were affected. The Club let our info get into the hands of people who used it to do harm. Our info was stolen because of their negligence.. They owe it to us to at least give us some sort of update.
For example, someone hacks into the security and your condo. Valuable items are stolen due to a breach in security. The cops don't just leave you hanging- they inform about progress. The Club needs to do it not just because they need to inform us but also the current and future members. Right now they have told us jack shit. How bad does that look? ” They got us but it won't happen again. Promise”. That may be enough for you but it's not enough for me. I need to know why it happened, how it happened and who the hell did it before I trust the Club with any of my info or money.

UMMM no the cops do not inform you of progress. Even if you manage to get the people arrested and convicted they do not follow up to keep you informed. Unless you repeatedly call and ask questions nothing gets done. (Which reminds me I need to badger the police, again about getting my stuff back now that the trial has been over and done with for 3 months)

When the people are identified, caught and arrested, you are informed. According to the source, the people who committed the hacking have already been identified. Why wouldn't the Club want this info out? As I said before, it makes the Club look like idiots when they withhold information that we already know. Look at what happened when this started. Someone on the Transformers website called them out and they basically laughed it off. We see how that turned out. It would be in the Clubs best interest to cone out and say the hackers have been identified. As of now, all they've basically said is we got hacked but our new store is much safer! That may be good enough for you but ask those who have had major amounts of money stolen from them if it's good enough for them.

That is not true. I had my car broken into and I was periodically updated by the detective that was working on my case. He called me a few times to keep me informed. They ended up catching the guy because he kept coming back and breaking into other cars and he even informed about that, otherwise I would have never known. Once the guy was arrested, the detective contacted me again and let me know they recovered stolen property and asked me to come in to verify if any of it was mine.
