Yes, one red cent! I was at TRU looking at what they had and another lady, clearly some kid's grandmother, was buying some Joes for her grandson.

She bought a 12 inch figure at $15.99 and a tube of small Sigma 6 figures for $3.99 and yep... total came to $19.98, one cent below the requirement to get the free Duke.

My wife and I tried to convince her to buy a single carded figure or the Combat Heroes for $6.99, but her grandson didn't want any of it, lol. So he only got the 12 inch figure.

You'd think something like that the manager or clerk could just let it go...

One penny! Sheesh.

If she wanted the Duke, she should have bought something else and returned it later. I guess she didn't want it bad enough...It was nice of you to suggest other options for her...:D

Which duke are they giving away? The TRU here only has the Strike Duke or Sigma Strike Duke, whatever you call the one with the big ass gun.

Don't worry.

In due time, Hasbro will be forcing people at gun point to take those ridiculous Sigma Six (GI Joe Extreme, Part II) figures with them.

The entire line is either on clearance or will eventually end up there.

Quoted before the spell check. Now my typo will live on in history...
What sucks is I have no use for a S6 Duke of any kind. I'd gladly settle for a free 25th single figure instead. Ah well.

HAHA! "GI Joe Extreme, Part II".

...that's unfair to GI Joe Extreme...

Poor kid. It's sad day for us Joe fans because thanks to TRU's dumb marketing we lost a future fan in the making. Now that kid will become an emo and make his family life's a living hell.

Remember your local Toys for Tots (or what-have-you). I have one coming, that's where mine is going.

Although torturing at the work bench or with some modern fireworks experiments might provide a few moments of fun, why not take a chance that you give some kid a lasting good memory? Even if it is S6.
